About the job

Requirements
  • Evidence of having built concrete solutions to problems, at work or independently, without a budget or engineering support; examples may include no-code tools, scripts, spreadsheets, or applications built with AI.
  • Numerical aptitude, including comfort with financial mechanics and mental arithmetic for calculations such as carried interest, allocations, fees, and distributions.
  • Ability to understand systems end to end, attend closely to details, close loops, follow up, and drive work to completion.
  • Ability to analyze processes from first principles, identify their purpose, and design the simplest system that achieves the goal.
  • Ability to challenge inherited conventions, industry assumptions, and third-party constraints.
  • Strong product instincts, while understanding that the role is operational rather than a product management career.
Responsibilities
  • Understand operational teams' processes, edge cases, manual steps, and bottlenecks, then redesign and automate workflows.
  • Build tools, automations, and systems that turn manual workflows into faster, more scalable operations.
  • Work autonomously and quickly, including creating lightweight solutions before engaging traditional product or engineering resources.
  • Determine whether problems are best solved through process changes, automation, or lightweight builds, and involve Product, Design, and Engineering when deeper engineering is needed, bringing a well-understood and simplified problem.
  • Question the need for existing processes and requests, eliminate workflows without a sound purpose, and avoid adding complexity without sufficient value.
  • Provide high-quality customer service by attending closely to details in customer interactions and improving the experience.
Desired Qualifications
  • Background in regulated financial services, such as fund administration, custody, payments, brokerage, audit, tax, or another back-office function.
  • Experience with SQL, advanced Excel, or moving data between systems.

Odin launches $6K Delaware SPV to unclog cross-border VC between Europe and US

Odin, a UK-based investment platform, has launched Delaware-based investment vehicles for global investors, aiming to compete with AngelList, Carta and Sydecar. The company argues that whilst venture capital claims to be borderless, cross-border deals remain tangled in legal structures, tax treatments and regional compliance. Founded in 2021 by Patrick Ryan and Mary Lin, Odin's new Delaware Limited Partnership structure can be launched in under two hours, supports multiple currencies including USD, EUR and GBP, and complies with UK and EU regulations. The platform has already administered over 1,500 vehicles and more than $600 million in assets across 100 countries. Pricing starts at $6,000 per deal. Ryan says 25% of deals on Odin's platform already involve US companies, and argues US competitors remain too domestically focused for European investors navigating international regulations.

Roundtable Raises Funding Round On Roundtable

French startup Roundtable has raised a $3.2 million (€3 million) funding round from a hundred business angels. That’s quite a large group of individual investors — but that’s because Roundtable runs an angel investment platform for European startups. Backed by eFounders, the company takes care of the administrative, legal and financial processes involved with startup investments.Roundtable isn’t the first investment platform focused on startup investments. In particular, AngelList popularized the concept of group investments with AngelList Syndicates. Essentially, an angel investor brings an investment opportunity to the platform and other angels can follow the lead angel on a deal-by-deal basis.AngelList isn’t the only company facilitating startup investment. For instance, in the U.K., Seedrs and Odin also manage fundraising deals for startups.Roundtable specifically focuses on European startups and works particularly well for startups based in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg
