About the company

Tabby provides a buy now, pay later (BNPL) service that lets customers split purchases into four equal, interest-free payments. The service works through partnerships with retailers: at checkout, Tabby pays the retailer in full upfront, while the customer repays Tabby in four installments. In addition to BNPL, Tabby offers Tabby Shop, a platform to discover and track products from many brands with deals and coupons, and Tabby Card, a Visa-backed payment card that enables Pay in 4 anywhere Visa is accepted. The company’s offering is Shariah-compliant, avoiding interest charges. This positions Tabby to appeal to markets with significant Muslim populations. The main goal is to make consumer finance more flexible for shoppers while helping retailers increase sales and expanding the ecosystem with Shop and Card features.

Tabby raises $233 million at $6.5 billion valuation. * Fundraising News * 15.09.2026 02:14 pm Tabby has raised $233 million at a $6.5 billion valuation, in an equity round led by Blue Pool Capital, with participation from existing shareholders HSG, Wellington Management and Arbor Ventures. The company has been profitable since 2023 and today processes more than $18 billion in annualised transaction volume across 25 million registered users and 70,000 business partners. The new capital will support the next stage of growth as Tabby expands beyond its buy now, pay later offering into broader financial services in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The round includes a liquidity option for employees. Tabby has run share tenders since 2023, and has facilitated more than $100 million in share sales, giving current and former employees the opportunity to realise part of the value they helped create. Over the past year, Tabby has secured licences to expand its financial services to customers and businesses. In Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Central Bank has granted Tabby consumer and SME finance licences, allowing it to offer larger and longer-term financing to consumers and working capital to businesses. Tabby also acquired Tweeq, a SAMA-licensed digital wallet, extending its capabilities into accounts, cards and transfers. In the UAE, Tabby secured a Stored Value Facilities licence from the Central Bank of the UAE to launch Tabby Cash, an alternative to a debit account with no account or card fees. Customers earn cashback on card spending and can send money locally and internationally. Hosam Arab, CEO and Co-Founder of Tabby, said: "We began with a button at an online checkout to help people spread costs over time. Everything since, every product and every licence, has come back to the same idea: people deserve more from their money. This round means we can build further on that, without changing how we think about growth or discipline." Christopher Wu, Chief Investment Officer at Blue Pool Capital, said: "Tabby has demonstrated an impressive ability to innovate for their customers, evolving beyond payments to become the trusted platform for millions of people managing, spending and growing their money across the region. We are proud of our partnership with Tabby over the past three years, and we are excited to continue supporting the impressive growth of the company with this financing." The transaction remains subject to applicable regulatory approvals, including approval from the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).
