  • Practical experience in programmatic advertising; understanding of publishers, supply-side platforms, demand-side platforms, agencies, and advertisers; and daily working knowledge of Google Ad Manager.
  • Familiarity with open auctions, private marketplaces, preferred deals, programmatic guaranteed, header bidding, and yield management.
  • Ability to analyze impressions, click-through rate, effective cost per mille, fill rate, viewability, and ad revenue, with technical understanding of ad serving, targeting, consent management, and brand safety.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a structured way and explain complex technical and operational topics clearly in German and English.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Product and Tech to develop the ad-tech infrastructure and advertising products, including header bidding, targeting, consent management, brand safety, and invalid traffic initiatives.

  • Oversee campaign operations from order entry through setup, monitoring, optimization, reporting, and billing, ensuring quality, capacity, and priorities through clear standards and key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with Media Sales, Product, Engineering, Data, order management, and Finance, and coordinate with media sales, technology, and demand partners.
  • Within the first 90 days, develop a thorough understanding of the team, media products, processes, systems, and key interfaces; analyze the programmatic and ad-tech setup, inventory structure, demand partners, and core performance metrics; establish reliable team routines; and implement initial improvements to campaign quality, transparency, or monetization.
  • Within the first 180 days, manage Media Operations and Programmatic using clear key performance indicators; establish transparency into campaign quality, utilization, fill rate, effective cost per mille, and revenue; simplify, standardize, or automate processes; implement and demonstrate the impact of demand-partner and yield improvements; and establish clear team responsibilities and working relationships with Media Sales, Product, Tech, and external programmatic partners.
