About the job

Requirements
  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including meaningful ownership of consumer growth, acquisition, activation, or conversion surfaces.
  • Strong full-stack capability across modern web frontend and backend services, with the ability to ship experiments from user interface through application programming interface and data.
  • Production experience running growth experiments, including A/B tests, funnel instrumentation, and iteration based on measured outcomes.
  • Understanding of customer journeys, including segments, touchpoints, drop-off analysis, and how product changes affect activation and retention metrics.
  • Ability to debug across web user interfaces, networking, backend services, analytics pipelines, and continuous integration.
  • Experience partnering with product, design, and data or marketing teams to take ambiguous growth problems from hypothesis to shipped learning.
  • Ability to write clear, maintainable code and maintain experiment integrity, observability, and long-term operability.
  • Experience using artificial intelligence coding tools in a development workflow and verifying their output.
  • Interest in health, fitness, and helping people establish and maintain better habits.
  • Ability to take ownership from discovery through production support on shipped paths.
Responsibilities
  • Build and improve web and product surfaces for acquisition and conversion, including landing experiences, checkout, plan selection flows, and drop-off instrumentation.
  • Simplify signup, login, account creation, and first-session activation so new members can connect with coaching and get started quickly.
  • Design, ship, and analyze A/B and multivariate tests across the funnel.
  • Define metrics, guardrails, and experiment hygiene with data partners.
  • Implement features across frontend and backend, including APIs, services, web user interfaces, and integrations between growth surfaces and the core member product.
  • Instrument funnels, cohorts, and activation milestones; use qualitative and quantitative signals to identify leverage, prioritize work, and explain experiment outcomes.
  • Keep high-traffic growth journeys fast, stable, and observable.
  • Work with product, design, data, and marketing to translate growth hypotheses into shippable product work and inform roadmap tradeoffs.
  • Use coding agents and artificial intelligence tools for exploration, implementation, testing, and review, validating their output before release.
  • Raise concerns early, propose solutions when experiments or funnels look incorrect, and keep partners aligned on metrics and tradeoffs.
  • Balance growth urgency with product quality and member trust.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience at a consumer subscription, marketplace, or membership product where acquisition and activation were core to the business.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and other laws and regulations applicable to health products and services.
  • Experience with paid acquisition landing systems, attribution, search engine optimization or organic surfaces, lifecycle messaging, or referral loops.
  • Experience building or evolving experimentation platforms, feature flags, or analytics instrumentation at scale.
  • Experience with fitness, health, coaching, or other personalized consumer products.
  • Prior experience with expert tooling, internal operator workflows, or coach-facing surfaces that support member outcomes.
