Stand and deliver: toro unveils two stand-on platforms at Equip Expo. Oct 14, 2026, 12:45 ET Toro's first dedicated stand-on blower plus a redesigned GrandStand(R) HDM+ on display at Equip Expo BLOOMINGTON, Minn., Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Toro is standing up to the commercial landscaping industry's toughest productivity challenges at Equip Expo in Louisville, Kentucky from October 20-23, with the rollout of two new stand-on platforms designed to help crews do more with fewer operators. The AeroMaster(TM), Toro's first dedicated stand-on blower, empowers landscape contractors to clear debris with more precision and speed than backpack or hand-held blowers. Plus, the popular stand-on GrandStand HDM+ gets a redesign that delivers increased power, agility and serviceability at a lower price tag to help landscape contractors combat rising operating costs without sacrificing efficiency. "Designed directly with feedback from professional contractors, these new stand-on introductions put landscape pros in command of every job," says Jackson Gray, product marketing manager at Toro. "By pairing high-volume power and operator comfort with superior terrain visibility, these new stand-on machines give contractors a versatile way to get more jobs done in their day - with fewer interruptions." AeroMaster(TM) 8100 CFM Stand-On Turbine Blower Designed with Toro's proven turbine technology, the AeroMaster produces the highest CFM in its category, delivering up to 30% more airflow* than competitors in the space. At 8,100 effective CFM, the AeroMaster easily moves wet, stuck-on debris, making large cleanup jobs in the spring, fall or after storms fast and manageable. The clutched turbine design allows the operator to quickly disengage the blower without shutting off the engine, keeping debris from blowing into unwanted areas. For even greater precision, intuitive fingertip controls allow the operator to move the nozzle 180 degrees seamlessly, making it easy to adjust airflow direction on the fly to push debris away from hardscapes, fence lines, and flower beds. The nozzle itself is built for flexible job-site durability, flexing on impact instead of cracking, so it holds up against the daily abuse of curbs, trailer ramps and commercial cleanups. When it is time to move to the next job, the flexible nozzle flips up for easier transport and a smaller footprint on the trailer. Additionally, the AeroMaster features a toggle front axle engineered to pivot smoothly over uneven terrain, minimizing machine vibration and enhancing operator comfort throughout long shifts. GrandStand(R) HDM+ Stand-On Mower Toro's GrandStand Heavy-Duty Mini is getting a massive upgrade and a new - lower - price. The new GrandStand HDM+, available in 32-inch and 36-inch models, delivers a suite of major enhancements, including upgraded maneuverability, easier maintenance, and the highest horsepower in its category with a more accessible price. Where competing compact mowers often compromise power and finish to meet a lower price point, the HDM+ combines a high-performance Kawasaki FX651V engine, Toro's legendary TURBO FORCE(R) cutting deck and strategic, oversized front casters to ensure unmatched cut quality without sacrificing performance. Designed for contractors seeking stand-on efficiency in tight areas, the HDM+ maintains a narrow footprint that navigates gated entries and tight property boundaries with ease. The oversized 13-inch x 6.5-inch front casters pivot smoothly to give operators enhanced maneuverability and a comfortable ride while protecting delicate grass from compaction and turf tear. The HDM+ is engineered for maximum uptime and reliability with tool-less access panels to the back of the mower, allowing technicians fast access to the engine and transmission components. Horizon360(R) Business Management Software Both machines are equipped to integrate seamlessly with Toro's business management solution Horizon360. This software helps landscape contractors drive more profits and increase business efficiency and effectiveness. New features to the Horizon360 platform include: * New Basic Tier: A new entry-level subscription option offers a lower-cost solution for contractors who only require essential management tools, such as streamlined invoicing and payment collection. * Simplified Tracking Interface: The redesigned tracking page features a simplified interface that enables contractors to monitor their entire equipment fleet at a single glance. * Enhanced Reliability: Updated tracking device firmware keeps equipment location and run-time data flowing continuously across all connected equipment. * Upgraded Equipment Management: Refocused design efforts make setting up equipment, navigating fleet lists, and tracking preventive maintenance faster and more intuitive. Toro unveils HAVEN AM75 robot mower and compact 50-inch TimeCutter for 2027

Toro unveiled two residential mowers for 2027: the HAVEN AM75 autonomous mower and a refreshed TimeCutter zero turn lineup. Both go on sale in 2027 through authorised Toro dealers, toro.com, and major retail partners. The HAVEN AM75 suits properties up to three-quarters of an acre. It uses LiDAR navigation and camera obstacle detection, builds its own map of the lawn, and mows only when rain sensors show the grass is dry. The TimeCutter range has five models, from 34 to 50 inches. The new compact 50-inch model saves up to 20% on storage space compared with the 50-inch TimeCutter MAX, and suits properties up to two acres. "Lawn care isn't one-size-fits-all," said Jens Hoffman, senior marketing manager at Toro.

Does battery-powered equipment pay off?

Does battery-powered equipment pay off? Understanding total cost of ownership before making the investment. Sep 24, 2026 It's no secret that battery-powered outdoor power equipment has vastly improved since its introduction into the green industry. So, why don't you see battery-powered equipment on every landscaping job yet? Before more landscapers readily adopt these machines across their fleets, they need to understand the return on investment. The key to evaluating battery-powered equipment is to look at how the costs of ownership shift over the life of the machine, viewing it as a long-term investment rather than just an upfront expense. Look beyond the purchase price. While businesses already budget for general maintenance and fuel costs, these ongoing operational burdens can be significantly offset by the long-term savings of electric power. By focusing on the total cost of ownership (TCO) over the product's lifetime, the perspective shifts from initial "sticker shock" or infrastructure needs toward the substantial operational ROI that battery-powered fleets provide. Online TCO calculators can help contractors estimate the potential operational ROI of investing in battery-powered equipment through variables specific to their business. Toro developed a Total Cost Calculator to help contractors estimate potential ROI. @AliFuat - stock.adobe.com * Current fuel and electricity costs * Equipment purchase prices (both gas and battery) * Financing term * Estimated annual operating hours * Annual maintenance costs for comparable gas equipment * Available rebates, incentives or tax credits Using those inputs, the calculator estimates the initial investment difference, projected annual operating savings, monthly savings and the estimated break-even point. Rather than focusing solely on the sticker price, contractors can see when lower fuel and maintenance costs begin offsetting the purchase price over time. Every operation is different, but having a data-driven estimate allows fleet managers to make purchasing decisions based on their own operating conditions. Plan your charging infrastructure. Charging infrastructure is another consideration when transitioning to battery-powered equipment, but it doesn't necessarily require a complete shop renovation. The most important consideration is balancing the electrical load across available circuits. Many commercial battery products can charge using electrical service already available in most facilities. Some options can charge using a standard 120-volt outlet rated for 15 or 20 amps, while larger equipment will require a dedicated 240-volt, 30-amp outlet with a neutral and ground wire for safe operation. Understanding these differences before purchasing equipment helps contractors anticipate any electrical upgrades that may be necessary. The most important consideration is balancing the electrical load across available circuits. Every circuit has a maximum capacity, so charging multiple machines on the same circuit without proper planning can overload breakers and prevent equipment from charging overnight. Check your electrical system. The Toro GrandStand Revolution can charge using a standard 120-volt outlet rated for 15 or 20 amps. The Z Master Revolution (pictured), will need a 240-volt, 30-amp outlet with a neutral and ground wire for safe operation. The Toro Company Before introducing battery-powered equipment to the fleet, landscape contractors should review their facility's electrical capacity by: * Identifying existing electrical loads throughout the shop. * Calculating the electrical demand of each charger. * Confirming sufficient capacity exists to charge equipment overnight. * Consulting a qualified electrician if additional circuits or service upgrades may be required. A quick review of your electrical service panel and a conversation with an electrician before purchasing equipment can help avoid unexpected installation costs and ensure your fleet is ready to work each morning. Beyond the financial benefits. The advantages of battery-powered equipment extend beyond operating costs. Battery-powered equipment reduces the fueling and routine engine maintenance associated with gas-powered equipment, helping crews spend more time on revenue-generating work. The right approach may not be a full fleet replacement but rather identifying where battery-powered equipment can deliver the greatest operational and financial benefits. Battery-powered equipment also operates significantly quieter than comparable gas models, making it easier to work in neighborhoods, municipalities, and commercial properties with strict noise ordinances. At the same time, zero engine exhaust emissions help contractors meet growing environmental requirements and position their businesses for customers seeking more sustainable landscaping practices. For many, the right approach may not be a full fleet replacement but rather identifying where battery-powered equipment can deliver the greatest operational and financial benefits. By evaluating TCO alongside facility charging requirements, contractors should be able to make more informed purchasing decisions based on long-term value - not just the initial purchase price.
