Required certifications include CPR, First Aid, AED, and a national certification in group fitness instruction (ACE, NETA, AFAA, or NASM) or YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise certification.
Certification in areas of expertise is required.
YMCA Healthy Lifestyles certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
The instructor must be able to conduct classes and activities and perform the physical aspects of the position, including leading class, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting.
