What believers are saying

  • July 2026 funding added $21 million at a $350 million valuation, extending runway.
  • Revenue grew 10x year over year, and headcount crossed 50 across eight countries.
  • Expansion into warehouses, factories, hospitals, and automotive broadens TAM beyond retail.

What critics are saying

  • Simbe, Focal Systems, and Trax attack the same shelf-intelligence market with deeper incumbency.
  • Customer concentration remains dangerous; Chemist Warehouse drives validation and could become a dependency.
  • Hardware-plus-computer-vision scaling across stores risks execution failure that kills the expansion thesis.

What makes Augmodo unique

  • Smartbadges are 100% passive and 100x cheaper hardware than competitors.
  • Augmodo maps 186 million square feet monthly with live 3D Realograms and SpatialView.
  • Chemist Warehouse moved from pilot to full contract and is expanding to 550 stores.
