Requirements
- At least five years of residential HVAC service experience with diagnostic troubleshooting and repair of air conditioning and heating systems.
- At least three years of HVAC Service Technician experience and the ability to train others.
- Must be willing to work outdoors in any weather conditions.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 pounds.
- Some local travel is expected.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all air conditioning service and maintenance technicians.
- Coordinate and manage field service technicians, increase business volume and customer base, and manage staff to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Collaborate with installation, dispatch, warehouse, and other necessary departments to ensure timely and accurate customer service according to company standards and procedures.
- Follow up on and resolve escalated customer disputes and complaints, ensuring effective and long-term problem resolution.
- Act on the department’s projected and forecasted performance goals, including average ticket per call, percentage of sales leads, average callbacks, and number of cash-on-delivery calls completed.
- Provide regular feedback to the Service Line Operations Manager and consistent support, professional development, and coaching to all service technicians.
- Maintain effective communication with each technician to ensure clear understanding of goals and expectations.
- Plan, develop, and lead weekly technician meetings with appropriate, positive, and balanced content.
- Ensure safety topics are incorporated into coaching conversations, weekly meetings, and training sessions.
- Coach and train technicians on customer service, sales, technical and mechanical knowledge, and company products and services.
- Resolve escalated customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
