About the job

Responsibilities
  • Design systems, deploy them into production, observe operators using them, and iterate until they become essential to operations.
  • Build AI platform components such as agent orchestration, real-world evaluations, connectors, and data infrastructure.
  • Work embedded with portfolio companies to conduct discovery, ship vertical tools, automate workflows, and drive adoption.
  • Transform manual workflows involving data transfer, quality assurance, and document production into background agents that run quickly and flag exceptions for review.
  • Integrate modern agents with legacy industry enterprise resource planning systems that lack clean application programming interfaces, and make the integrations reliable enough for core business operations.
  • Build deployment infrastructure—including orchestration, connectors, and reliability layers—that makes rolling AI out to new businesses repeatable.
  • Work onsite with teams, expand adoption beyond early power users, measure impact, and ship changes that make daily use intuitive.
  • Build evaluations, feedback loops, and training pipelines to help AI reliably complete specific jobs.
  • Ship solutions into daily production use rather than pilots or proofs of concept.
  • Build reusable solutions that can be deployed across multiple portfolio companies.
  • Deliver measurable improvements to business metrics such as throughput, cycle time, or error rate.

About the company

Long Lake is an AI holding company that buys profitable, growing service-focused businesses in the American services economy and helps them grow with technology. It embeds its engineers and operators inside partner companies to deploy Nexus, a platform made of AI agents, workflows, and data that can work with different AI models and is tailored to each industry. Instead of cutting costs, Long Lake uses permanent capital and aims to own its companies for decades, focusing on growth; it has a track record of expanding EBITDA and has avoided layoffs. The company often acquires businesses across areas such as HOA and property management, construction, architecture, HR services, and specialty tax, and it scales through integration and value-adds from its AI platform. Its goal is to build a long-lasting family of companies managed with steady, growth-oriented ownership and a scalable AI transformation engine, aiming to increase the performance and reach of its portfolio over time.
