About the job
- Have broad, deep technical knowledge across Azure technologies, including Log Analytics (KQL), Application Insights, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, Azure Security, Azure Networking (App Gateways, Front Door, Firewall, VWAN), Azure Storage, Azure Automation (Infrastructure as Code), Azure Sentinel, App Services, Containers (AKS), Managed Instances, Azure SQL, Azure DNS, Azure Virtual Desktop and Nerdio, and Azure Files.
- Have a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure solutions and how they are delivered and implemented using Infrastructure as Code (Bicep or Terraform).
- Have obtained the AZ-305 Cloud Architect certification.
- Provide technical delivery leadership on client engagements and lead architectural design sessions with clients.
- Provide regular coaching and guidance to peers supporting implementation, while managing client expectations and cultivating a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to less-experienced team members learning the company’s approach to infrastructure engagements.
- Serve as a coach in a player-coach model to support team members’ upskilling and confidence in infrastructure delivery.
- Foster relationships between cloud infrastructure teams, including delivery, delivery excellence, and solution architecture, and with teams outside the practice.
- Provide technical delivery oversight and consultative support across multiple client engagements.
- Partner with Delivery Excellence to align project milestones with a project plan that captures key client decisions.
- Help the delivery team reach billable targets by resolving project blockers.
- Facilitate change orders and project extensions when needed on in-flight projects.
- Drive alignment at technical intersections with other practice areas by providing technical oversight and direction.
- Stay apprised of new technologies and how they may affect existing offerings.
- Gain exposure to offerings in other practice areas to help position them in existing infrastructure engagements.
- Identify cloud infrastructure and security solution opportunities and raise them for consideration.
- Lead and guide infrastructure-offerings committees that define and advance standard offerings for the practice.
- Build trusted-advisor relationships across multiple accounts to support existing customer-account growth through a land-and-expand approach.
- Help teammates unblock engagements and remediate potential escalations before they occur.
- Create reusable artifacts and content that enable team members to bill their time to clients.
