Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or an additional eight years of experience in lieu of the degree.
  • At least one year of experience in data warehousing.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor the enterprise data warehouse database environment and proactively manage disk space, database health, resource utilization, capacity trends, and capacity planning.
  • Support Delivery Readiness Review activities and production implementations, including moving approved database code to production and implementing and troubleshooting Data Definition Language scripts using SQL scripting.
  • Develop, document, test, and implement database maintenance plans, including Oracle database time zone upgrades and related validation and rollback activities.
  • Apply database software updates and patches in a timely and controlled manner while ensuring compatibility with the enterprise data warehouse environment.
  • Troubleshoot slow-running SQL queries and database performance issues by analyzing execution plans, resource utilization, database waits, and other performance indicators; implement tuning and corrective actions.
  • Process database access requests, including granting proxy access, creating database roles, assigning users to roles, and granting table and object privileges.
  • Implement and maintain database security controls, including access controls, encryption, and auditing mechanisms.
  • Perform schema and table refreshes between enterprise data warehouse environments, validate source and target objects, execute refreshes, resolve errors, and confirm completion.
  • Design and implement database schemas and models supporting efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis within the enterprise data warehouse.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute database backup and recovery plans, and conduct disaster recovery testing against required recovery objectives.
  • Support data accuracy, consistency, and integrity through database-level validation and integrity controls; collaborate with data stewards, developers, and project teams to resolve data quality issues.
  • Serve as a primary technical resource for database-related issues, troubleshoot problems, and work with development teams to resolve database challenges.
  • Maintain documentation of the database environment, configurations, operational procedures, maintenance activities, security controls, and change management activities.
  • Generate and communicate database health, performance, capacity, and optimization information.
  • Collaborate with developers, data analysts, project managers, and other project team members to support enterprise data warehouse goals and communicate database requirements, technical issues, risks, and recommendations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience troubleshooting Oracle GoldenGate replication issues and supporting data synchronization between source and target environments.
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager and Recovery Manager.
  • Experience migrating Oracle databases and business intelligence tools from on-premises environments to cloud environments.
  • Experience implementing Oracle database performance tuning and improvement processes.
  • Experience supporting OBIEE applications.
  • Currently cleared for Public Trust at Tier 2 moderate level or higher.
