Requirements
  • 3+ years of hands-on programming experience, ideally including Python, REST APIs, data wrangling, and software automation tools
  • 3+ years of experience in a client-facing role implementing SaaS software, data science, analytics, or reporting tools
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain data pipelines and system integrations
  • Ability to understand client challenges and translate them into actionable technical solutions
  • Experience with learning data, xAPI, SCORM, and JSON are a plus
  • Excellent communication, documentation, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • A strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and initiative
  • Flexibility to balance multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to work independently, yet function as an integral part of a team
  • Proficiency in SQL and MySQL database
  • Experience with Python and Java development
  • Familiarity with Jenkins and CI/CD automation
Responsibilities
  • Client Implementation: Build connections between Watershed and client systems, and configure Watershed to meet each client's goals
  • Data Pipelines & Integrations: Build and maintain data pipelines and API integrations, and write scripts to create and manage data connections to Watershed
  • Reporting & Analysis: Use our flexible reporting platform to perform data analysis on complex data sets and build dashboards and reports that help clients understand and act on their data
  • Consulting & Best Practices: Consult with clients on their goals, share knowledge of best practices, and help clients build out their learning data ecosystems
  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide technical assistance to clients and work closely with the technology team to troubleshoot issues and influence product changes
  • Automation and Deployment: Automate repetitive technical workflows to improve efficiency for both clients and the team. Develop automation and deployment workflows using CI/CD tools, i.e Jenkins
  • Core Product Contributions: Occasionally contribute updates to Watershed's core product — a much lower priority relative to client-facing and integration work
  • Client Relationships: Serve as a public-facing representative for the company and product, building rapport with clients and industry partners and identifying opportunities for expansion within existing relationships
  • Training: Train clients on how to use Watershed effectively
  • Familiarity with corporate learning ecosystems is a huge plus — but not a requirement

Learning Technologies Group acquired by General Atlantic

Learning Technologies Group PLC is transitioning to private ownership after being acquired by private equity group General Atlantic. Despite strong growth from £1.5 million to £100 million in profits and a 70-fold increase in EBITDA, market conditions led to a declining share price, making the company an attractive private equity target. The acquisition involves significant leverage, with plans for potential divestitures. The transition is set to complete by March 31, following court approval.
