Requirements
  • A Master's Degree or a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
  • Current licensure in the state of Missouri.
  • Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Certification as a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician.
  • Membership with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics or the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition within one year of hire.
Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments.
  • Determine nutrition diagnoses.
  • Write orders for appropriate nutrition therapy.
  • Monitor medical status and adjust interventions.
  • Direct acute nutrition therapy to achieve maximal nutrition status, reduce length of stay, and reduce readmissions.
  • Practice within the scope of practice at an advanced level.
  • Initiate, change, and discontinue enteral and parenteral nutrition, supplements, diet orders, and education to treat disease states.
  • Promote teamwork with members of the healthcare team.
  • Perform duties consistently with the hospital's mission and values.
