72andSunny appoints Sydney and Singapore ecds. Firrdaus Yusoff moves to Australia, and former Ogilvy regional ECD Nikhil Panjwani replaces him in Singapore. International CCO Justine Armour said the hires are "a micro expression of a much bigger ambition" Editorial Series People moves, company launches, account wins and other business news. 72andSunny has appointed Firrdaus Yusoff as executive creative director in Sydney and Nikhil Panjwani as executive creative director in Singapore. The appointments mark the next phase of growth for the agency in APAC, bringing more international creative perspective into Sydney while doubling down on the creative ambition of its Singapore operation, following a period of momentum that includes being named global creative agency for Tiger Beer. Justine Armour, 72andSunny's international CCO, said, "Great talent and great ideas should move in every direction, not just be exported from the traditional markets. Fi going from Singapore to Sydney and Nikhil joining us to lead Singapore is a micro expression of a much bigger ambition: to build high value global creative teams, informed by where they are in the world but not limited by it." Firrdaus moves to Sydney from 72andSunny Singapore, where he has served as executive creative director, bringing with him close to two decades of experience spanning Singapore, London, and Dubai. Prior to joining 72andSunny, Firrdaus led the creative department at Forsman & Bodenfors Singapore, helping take the agency to the top of Singapore's creative rankings. His body of work includes KAMI, the world's first virtual influencer with Down syndrome, for Down Syndrome International; Gojek's 'The Flow'; and Mandarin Oriental's 'Letters to Neighbours'. His work has been recognised at Cannes Lions, D&AD, The One Show, Clios, LIA, and Spikes Asia, as well as appearing everywhere from CNN and Forbes to museums in New York and Paris. In Sydney, Firrdaus will lead the creative department and partner with the agency's existing leadership team to continue building a stronger, more globally connected creative offering in Australia. Justine added, "Fi is the kind of creative leader Cloudfactory want more of at 72andSunny. He has incredibly high standards, with very low ego. He knows how to make ambitious work, and just as importantly, how to build the kind of in-person culture and team that makes ambitious work possible. "Bringing him to Sydney is intentional. Australia has extraordinary creative talent, and we want to add to that a genuinely international perspective, particularly one coming from Asia. Firrdaus understands the region, he's built one of its strongest creative departments, and he brings a different set of references, experiences and instincts into the room that will make us better." Firrdaus said, "Sydney has always had a creative reputation that punches well above its size, so the chance to come here and help build what's next was hard to resist. I've loved being part of what we've built in Singapore and I'm excited that this move doesn't mean leaving that behind, but making the connection between our teams in the region even stronger." Nikhil, who was most recently regional executive creative director at Ogilvy Singapore, replaces Firrdaus as Singapore ECD. Nikhil brings nearly two decades of experience across India and Asia Pacific. Before joining Ogilvy in 2022, he spent seven years at BBH Singapore, following earlier roles in India. Across his career, Nikhil has created work for brands including Coca-Cola, IKEA, Absolut, Google, Guinness, Nike, Heineken, Tiger Beer, and Virgin Mobile. His best-known work includes IKEA's 'Human Catalogue', Absolut 'Together #IRL', Google's 'Tanjore', 'Heinekicks' for Heineken, 'The Official Unofficial History of Tiger Beer' and, more recently at Ogilvy, work across The Coca-Cola Company's portfolio including OOHA, Foodmarks, and Coca-Cola's 'Recipe for Magic'. His work has been recognised with more than 100 awards, including golds at Cannes Lions, The One Show, D&AD, Clios, Webbys, and LIA, as well as an ADFEST Grand Prix. His arrival comes at a significant moment for 72andSunny Singapore. The agency was recently appointed global creative agency for Tiger Beer and has been building a new leadership team around managing director Ross Henderson and executive strategy director Jo Lam. Nikhil said, "Southeast Asia is buzzing with a restless, weird and wonderful energy, and I hope to help make 72andSunny Singapore the place where it comes to play. Making Tiger roar with partners like Jo and Ross is the perfect first brief. Build a kick-ass team, the right culture, and the work will be hard to ignore". Justine said, "Nikhil is a brilliant creative thinker with the rare ability to understand ideas that travel. He's spent his career making ideas from Asia that can compete on a world stage, without sanding off the culture that made them interesting in the first place. "He joins Singapore at exactly the right moment. With Ross, Jo, and now Nikhil, we have a leadership team with a huge amount of regional and international experience, and with Tiger we have the kind of iconic global brand that gives that talent something enormous to swing at. Our ambition is to build a creative company in Singapore capable of producing the best and most influential work anywhere in the world." Both will take up their new roles on January 4th.

Ogilvy India leads with five winning campaigns at 11th IndIAA Awards. Reading Time: 3 mins read Mumbai: The India Chapter of the International Advertising Association (IAA) hosted the 11th edition of the IndIAA Awards, recognising creative work across 17 categories and celebrating contributions from brands, creative agencies and media partners. Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde attended the event as the Chief Guest. The IndIAA Awards follow a jury model in which advertisers evaluate the work, bringing the perspective of brand custodians to the judging process. The awards also focus on campaigns created for actual brand communication rather than work developed solely for award recognition. Among the campaigns recognised this year were Ather Energy's 'It's Easy On An Ather', Navi UPI's 'Hurrypur', OpenAI/ChatGPT India's 'Everyday Superheroes', Urban Company's 'Emotional Atyachaar', Colgate-Palmolive India's 'The Boy Who Learnt to Smile' and Tata Consumer's 'Tata Simply Better'. Other winning clients included AMD India, Axis Bank, Mahindra Group, Krafton India, The Hindu Group, XYXX Apparels, KRBL Limited, Coca-Cola India, Pidilite, Niva Bupa Health Insurance, Reckitt, Versuni India and JioHotstar. The awards also recognised joint winners in the Corporate, including CSR and Government, Entertainment & Media, Food & Beverages, and Voice of Change categories. Commenting on the awards, Janak Sarda, President, IAA India Chapter, said, "Over a decade ago, the India Chapter of the IAA created a unique set of awards that have grown to become a gold standard in our industry. The IndIAA Awards are judged entirely by advertisers - the people who own the brands and are the first to decide whether the advertising makes the cut. They also ensure that work created merely for awards cannot win. As I mark my first marquee event as President, I thank our past presidents, jury members and partners for helping build these meaningful awards, and congratulate every winner on the wonderful work recognised this evening." Among the category winners, AMD India and Social Panga won in Consumer Electronics for 'Durga Puja - To Human Hands'. Navi UPI and Sideways were recognised in Banking & Finance for 'Hurrypur'. Mahindra Group and Ogilvy received a joint win in Corporate for 'Nanhi Kali - Power of One', while The Hindu Group and Talented were joint winners in Entertainment & Media, Gaming for 'The Hindu - Written By Journalists'. Pidilite and Ogilvy won in Home Care Essential, Miscellaneous, for 'Fevikwik Anniversary'. Versuni India and Restless@Magiccircle were joint winners in Voice of Change for 'Philips | Ghar Ka Kaam, Sab Ka Kaam'. Urban Company and Manja won in Online Platforms for 'Instahelp - Emotional Atyachaar'. Speaking about the awards, Raj Kamble, Co-Chairperson, IndIAA Awards 2026, said, "Creativity thrives when agencies and clients work as true partners. Great ideas need the right support to take flight, and clients provide the landing gear that turns creative ambition into reality. What makes the IAA IndIAA Awards truly unique is that they celebrate this partnership. With no entry fees, work selected purely on merit, and judging by leading CEOs and chairpersons, these awards recognise the collective contribution of clients, creative agencies and media partners. For 11 years, we have celebrated not just outstanding creativity, but the collaboration that makes it possible." Associate partners for the 2026 edition included Mediakart, Minerva, Truecaller, Mathrubhumi and Think Result. The International Advertising Association is a global advertising trade association representing advertisers, agencies and media organisations. The IAA operates through corporate and organisational members, educational affiliates and 56 chapters, with members and young professionals across 76 countries. Its India Chapter organises industry initiatives including the IAA Leadership Awards, IAA Olive Crown Awards, IndIAA Awards, IAA Debates, IAA Conversations and the IAA Young Turks Forum
