Rehab Medical appoints industry veteran Jason Foggiano as COO.

Rehab Medical appoints industry veteran Jason Foggiano as COO. Jason Foggiano Posted Friday, September 18, 2026 7:00 am News Release Rehab Medical, one of the nation's leading providers of complex rehab technology (CRT), has appointed Jason Foggiano as Chief Operating Officer (COO), bringing nearly 25 years of operational and leadership experience to the organization. This news comes shortly after the company announced three new strategic leadership roles to support its next phase of growth and that it made its fifth appearance on the Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America list. Foggiano's appointment coincides with the company's next phase of growth and follows the planned leadership transition from Jarrad Rankin, former vice president of operations and the company's first assistive technology professional (ATP). During his onboarding, Foggiano will take a phased approach to leading the company's operational structure. Initially, the customer service and business support teams will fall under his leadership, allowing him to evaluate operational challenges, identify bottlenecks, and better understand how they impact the organization. Insurance, revenue cycle, and field operations will then transition under his leadership, enabling him to build scalable operating models, align cross-functional teams, and strengthen organizational culture and capabilities. "I am excited to be a part of a growing organization that is so passionate about the mission of improving lives, from the top to the bottom," said Foggiano. "Being able to bring my experience to help the organization scale and be prepared for the next phase of growth from an operational excellence and leadership development perspective really fuels me." Prior to joining Rehab Medical, Foggiano spent more than half of his career at American Specialty Health, where he served as senior vice president of operations before advancing to COO. As COO, Foggiano implemented large-scale performance strategies and operational improvements that helped grow American Specialty Health's revenue from $300 million to $850 million. Foggiano's operational impact earned him the Chairman's Pursuit of Excellence Award, the highest honor given to employees by American Specialty Health. As Rehab Medical continues to grow, it remains committed to fostering a culture where employees can learn, develop, and build meaningful careers while helping deliver life-changing mobility solutions to patients across the country.

American Specialty Health launches site-of-care programme to cut outpatient PT costs by up to 35%

American Specialty Health has launched a Site-of-Care programme for hospital outpatient physical and occupational therapy aimed at reducing costs by up to 35% whilst maintaining clinical quality. The programme helps health plans direct patients to lower-cost in-network clinics or virtual therapy providers where appropriate. The initiative addresses rising healthcare costs driven by site-of-care price differences. According to research published in JAMA Network Open, moving suitable cases to alternative care sites could save the US health system over $110 billion annually. Licensed physical or occupational therapists peer-review redirection decisions based on medical policies and patient needs. The programme includes concierge-level support to help members transition smoothly, with ASH coordinating scheduling and providing ongoing guidance. The service operates across all 50 US states.
