About the company

We Insure Group provides a turnkey platform for insurance agents to start and run independent agencies. Its core business is a franchise model in which agents gain access to back-office support (customer service, administration, and marketing) so they can focus on selling insurance. The company offers agents contracts with a wide range of carriers—over 150—covering personal and commercial lines, which helps tailor coverage to clients. Revenue comes from franchise fees and a share of the commissions earned by the network of agencies. Compared with traditional captive agencies, We Insure emphasizes more autonomy for agents and broader carrier access, supported by a centralized back-office system. In May 2021, Oak Hill Capital acquired We Insure to fund further growth and technology development. The company’s goal is to expand its franchise footprint nationwide and help insurance entrepreneurs build independent agencies under a recognized brand.

  • The 2025 Orlando kickoff and 2026 franchise recruitment show active network expansion.
  • Recent website upgrades for policy documents improve retention, service speed, and franchisee efficiency.

What critics are saying

  • Independent franchise economics depend on renewal retention; weak service breaks recurring commission revenue fast.
  • PEAK6's 2021 acquisition means strategic priorities can shift, squeezing franchisee autonomy and margins.
  • Insurance distribution is crowded; direct writers and aggregators can compress We Insure's carrier access advantage.

What makes We Insure Group unique

  • Jay Wolfberg became president in 2023; CEO appointment followed in July 2025.
