Requirements
  • MBA/Master’s degree or postgraduate qualification and a bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, or other related sciences.
  • Background in Chemical engineering or experience working on Chemical or alternative fuel projects is mandatory or Bachelor’s degree and applicable relevant work experience can also be considered.
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in management consulting or strategic marketing or industry research and competitive intelligence, or business performance, advising organizations in the energy industry.
  • Strong experience of conducting comprehensive secondary (public and paid databases) and primary research on various industries, macro developments and regions.
  • Data Modelling and financial modelling proficiency required. Comfortable working with huge datasets and proficient with financial analysis and modelling.
  • Prior extensive experience of working on price and demand modelling for oil & gas products. Should have good understanding of interdependencies of various oil products from demand/supply perspective, pricing algorithms etc.
  • Ability to work with data analytics / visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, etc. and statistical (including forecasting) techniques such as PCA, regression, cluster analysis, etc.
  • Familiarity and previous experience of work with any types of Information systems (like Bloomberg, Reuters, S&P, FactSet, etc.) and Customs data.
  • Possess deep understanding of the applicable domain, strong quantitative and analytical skills, with strong business acumen.
  • Capable of putting individual projects/initiatives into a “big picture” context and credible experience working in a fast-moving, client-centric environment.
  • Proficient in English with well-structured oral and written communications skills;
  • Excellent presentation skills combined with the ability to explain difficult concepts in a clear, concise and graphic-rich style, using appropriate analytics and visualization tools.
  • Ability to take ownership for delivering customized projects with certain degree of autonomy
Responsibilities
  • Developing insights beyond publicly available information, interacting with industry members and external networks to build proprietary data sets and evidence for differentiated points of view.
  • Engaging with client teams and Kline business leaders to provide commercial and provocative perspectives on the issues, challenges and opportunities facing our clients in the industry.
  • Providing strong insights using various data analytic/ modelling techniques to uncover meaningful insights for our client.
  • Build solid analysis and insights for client engagements, utilizing secondary and primary research methodologies research.
  • Leading/contributing to delivery of strategic and complex projects, often working virtually across teams in different geographies.
  • Developing a credible internal brand to become recognized within Kline as a subject matter expert for the business.
  • Participate in client meetings and other external events/conferences to strengthen Kline’s presence and reputation in the market.
  • Collaborates with colleagues to proactively alert stakeholders regarding changes among key clients and competitors and assesses the impact of those changes on internal strategies and plans.
  • Acts as a role model within Kline, championing the use of Kline know-how, methodologies and positively influencing change by leading by example; championing knowledge-sharing behaviors; connecting people; encouraging enterprise-wide sharing; and appropriately leveraging and reusing existing collateral.
