Rotary Die Cut Operator Assistant
About the job
- Ability to remain alert and work safely in a safety-sensitive position.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required by business needs.
- Ability to work rotating shifts as needed.
- Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people.
- Ability to read a tape measure or ruler.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical tasks.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with people in a wide variety of roles.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures while performing job duties.
- Follow good manufacturing practice guidelines and quality requirements while performing job duties.
- Read job ticket information to determine quantity, stock specifications, colors, special printing instructions, and special customer requirements.
- Fill containers with cleaning solvents, water, fountain solution, and ink as needed.
- Assist with mounting plates.
- Communicate problems on the delivery end to the operator.
- Assist with decisions about the quality of finished product.
- Complete required quality inspections and paperwork.
- Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance.
- Palletize stacks of finished product on skids.
- Repair machines or assist maintenance with repairs as necessary.
- Maintain the assigned equipment and keep the surrounding work area clean.
- Follow department communication systems, schedules, time and attendance systems, and job reporting requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management or supervisors.
