Boden partners with Stripe & Stare on limited-edition lingerie collection.

Boden partners with Stripe & Stare on limited-edition lingerie collection. Boden has partnered with underwear and sleepwear brand Stripe & Stare on a limited-edition capsule collection. Launching on both brands' websites on 11 October, the collaboration will combine Stripe & Stare's comfort and cut with Boden's signature prints and colours. The nine-piece collection includes high-rise knickers, thongs, bralettes and a lace cami, with some items featuring one of Boden's archival wildflower prints alongside stripes and hearts made with Stripe & Stare's Tencel fabric. Ann Ceprynski, head of print womenswear at Boden, said: "It's so exciting to be collaborating with Stripe & Stare on this limited-edition range. There had to be stripes, of course, and the floral print we've used was hand-picked from our archive. It's a vintage motif, reminiscent of a traditional British style, which was then coloured up in-house." Katie Lopes, co-founder and chief executive of Stripe & Stare, said: "We are so proud to be partnering with the icon that is Boden. Taking their signature stripes and florals and adding them to our hero knickers, camis and bras felt like the most natural thing in the world."

British retailer Boden posts strong profits following another strong year.

British retailer Boden posts strong profits following another strong year. Let's be honest, working in retail or hospitality over the last few years hasn't exactly been a smooth ride. Rising costs, cautious consumers and constant pressure to do more with less have become part of everyday life. That's why it's refreshing to see a retailer not only surviving but continuing to grow. British fashion brand Boden has just reported another strong year, with profits rising to £37.2 million and sales increasing by 7% to almost £387 million. While the numbers themselves are impressive, the story behind them offers some interesting lessons for anyone building a career in customer-facing industries. One of the biggest drivers of Boden's success has been its expansion in the United States. The US market now accounts for almost half of the company's revenue and continues to be its fastest-growing region. In a world where many brands are playing it safe, Boden has continued investing in growth, opening stores in Atlanta and Nashville, with another location planned for Alabama later this year. Perhaps the most interesting statistic isn't the profit figure at all. During the year, Boden added over 600,000 new customers and increased its active customer base by 9% to nearly 2 million people. In retail and hospitality, that kind of growth doesn't happen by accident. It comes from consistently delivering experiences that keep customers coming back and encourage them to recommend you to others. There are some clear parallels for hospitality professionals too. Whether you're running a restaurant, managing a hotel, leading a retail team or working directly with customers, growth often comes down to the same fundamentals: understanding your audience, delivering a great experience and adapting to changing customer expectations. Boden's results also highlight the importance of knowing where your strengths lie. Women's dresses were a standout performer, while childrenswear faced tougher competition. Successful businesses aren't afraid to double down on what's working while continuing to improve areas that present challenges. What's particularly encouraging is that these results have come during a period of relatively subdued consumer confidence, especially in the UK. Even with customers watching their spending, brands that create strong customer connections are still finding ways to grow. For anyone currently building a career in retail or hospitality, that's a valuable reminder. The skills that businesses need most right now aren't just sales, operations or stock management. They're adaptability, customer engagement, problem-solving and the ability to create memorable experiences. As Boden founder Johnnie Boden pointed out, retail will always bring fresh challenges. The businesses and individuals who succeed are usually the ones willing to evolve, stay positive and keep looking for opportunities when others see obstacles. In an industry that's often dominated by negative headlines, Boden's latest results are a welcome reminder that growth is still possible. For professionals across retail and hospitality, that's a message worth paying attention to.

Boden profits jump to £37.2m as US expansion pays off.

Boden profits jump to £37.2m as US expansion pays off. British fashion retailer Boden has posted growth in both turnover and profit for 2025 following a strong performance in the US. In the 12 months to 27 December, group turnover rose by 7% to £387.1 million, while pre-tax profit grew to £37.2 million, up from £34.6 million the previous year. The company said the US continues to be its fastest growing market and now accounts for almost half of group revenue. There was also growth in the UK and through third-party partners, including Nordstrom in the US. Within womenswear, dresses performed particularly well, while childrenswear achieved more modest growth in what Boden described as a highly competitive market. During the period, Boden increased its number of active customers by 9% to 1.95 million, with more than 600,000 new customers making purchases during the year. It also opened its first US physical store in the Avalon shopping centre in Atlanta, Georgia. August 11, 2026 Johnnie Boden, founder and creative director at Boden, said: "I'm thrilled The Retail Bulletin has achieved another great set of results. As ever, I'm so grateful to its talented team for all their hard work. "There are always fresh challenges to face and conquer in retail, but we're continuing to grow. I'm so excited to continue to build on this momentum." Giving an update on trading in the first half of its new financial year, Boden said sales grew by 2% in the six months to June, despite subdued consumer confidence, particularly in the UK. Sales in the US rose by 9% over the period. In July 2026, Boden opened its second US store, in Nashville, Tennessee, and announced a third standalone location which will open this autumn in Birmingham, Alabama. Ben Dreyer, Boden chief executive, said: "It's been another good year for Boden as The Retail Bulletin deliver its growth plan and increase its presence in a number of important markets. "Our performance in North America has been particularly encouraging and we're delighted to have acquired a record number of new customers for a single year. We look forward to continuing to make further progress across the business in the UK and beyond."
