Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience, with demonstrated experience building something real users depended on and maintaining it after launch.
  • Experience shipping systems to production and owning them afterward, including operating and fixing them based on real usage.
  • Serious experience with large language models and agents, including context engineering, tool use, structured outputs, memory, agentic frameworks, and both open-source and closed-source models.
  • Engineering discipline around versioning, testing, regression testing, and reproducibility.
  • Ability to define meaningful use-case metrics, build evaluation pipelines, and distinguish signal from noise.
  • Strong Python skills and breadth across backend services, data pipelines, application programming interfaces, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Ability to learn unfamiliar technology stacks quickly.
  • Ability to work directly with a customer's engineering team, understand constraints, explain technical considerations, and reach workable solutions.
  • Ability to design systems that remain predictable under real load, are instrumented for visibility, and are structured for maintainability.
Responsibilities
  • Build production agents on the Sarvam stack, including prompts, system design, workflows, tool integrations, and evaluations.
  • Map the scenarios an agent must handle, determine appropriate handling for each, and identify edge cases to establish coverage by design.
  • Build proof-of-concept systems quickly when customers need validation before committing to scale.
  • Integrate agents with core banking, customer relationship management, ticketing, telephony, and other customer systems.
  • Define quality criteria for each use case, build evaluations to measure quality, and improve results until the required metrics are achieved.
  • Version agents, review changes, and enforce regression suites so quality does not depend on untracked prompt edits.
  • Tune systems for accuracy, cost, reliability, and performance under real load.
  • Design scalable and consistent systems that behave reliably across high interaction volumes and provide sufficient instrumentation to reveal quality degradation.
  • Adapt proven agent patterns to new customer environments while maintaining speed and quality.
  • At senior levels, own technical build playbooks and the technical quality bar for a motion, and bring partner engineers up to that standard.

September 10, 2026 15:00 IST Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Limited ("Mahindra Finance"), one of India's leading financial services providers, has announced an expanded voice AI partnership with Sarvam, the Bengaluru-based sovereign AI company, at Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2026, where Sarvam is this year's AI Ecosystem Partner. Building on an earlier collaboration, Mahindra Finance has scaled the engagement into one of the largest voice AI deployments in Indian financial services. The Mahindra Group's AI Division (Mahindra AI) has developed voice agents on Sarvam's platform that operate across 12 Indian languages and have completed over one crore calls to date, reaching Mahindra Finance customers in their preferred language, at a time of their choosing. The partnership now spans three areas of Mahindra Finance's business: Sales: Relationship-management voice agents check in with customers and surface cross-sell opportunities across vehicle, tractor, SME, housing, insurance and investment products. Collections: Voice agents support the full lifecycle, from pre-due reminders through to write-off and repossession-stage conversations. Employee engagement: Voice agents gather field-level feedback, giving leadership a more direct line of sight into frontline realities. Strong collaboration between Mahindra AI and Sarvam have led to tangible results at scale for Mahindra Finance. Mahindra AI orchestrated campaigns layered on top of inhouse machine learning models that utilized Sarvam's voice agents to advance Mahindra Finance's sales and collections campaigns translating model-driven predictions into real conversations, at scale, in the customer's own language. Sarvam launches Champions programme for AI creators, here's what you get. Indian AI startup Sarvam has decided to launch a new programme that offers creators and community leaders access to some of its upcoming AI models. Called Sarvam Champions, this programme is designed for users who build projects using the company's tools and help bring local AI communities together. Notably, the programme comes after the Sarvam Epoch 2026 conference, where the startup introduced new AI models, including Vision 2.0 and Bulbul V4. The company has also announced plans to build a flagship AI with more than a trillion parameters. Sarvam Champions is divided into two tracks, Creators and City Leads. Creators are expected to build projects using Sarvam's AI tools and share their work with others. City Leads, meanwhile, will focus on bringing developers and AI builders together through local events and communities. Participants selected for the programme will get early access to Sarvam's upcoming models and products. They will also have opportunities to interact with Sarvam's teams and connect with other builders through a dedicated Champions community. What Will Champion Creators Do? Creators can contribute by making tutorials, technical guides, cookbooks, live coding sessions and build-alongs. They can also showcase projects they have built using Sarvam's technology. Another important part of the role will be providing feedback to Sarvam. The company wants creators to share their experiences and suggestions so that it can improve its products and tools. The second track is designed for people who already run developer or technology communities in their cities. City Leads will be responsible for organising events such as meet-ups, workshops and other community activities. These events will give local builders an opportunity to learn about Sarvam's tools and experiment with its AI technology. Sarvam says it will support approved events by providing funding for expenses such as venues, catering, standees and banners. However, the funding will not cover prize money. City Leads are expected to organise at least one Sarvam-focused event every month. For the Creator track, applicants need to show examples of technical content they have created or projects they have built using Sarvam's tools. Those applying as City Leads need to provide details of a developer community or event they already run. Applicants can also share information about their experience, qualifications and social media profiles. People can apply directly, while nominations from others are also accepted. How To Apply? Interested creators and community leaders can apply for Sarvam Champions through the Sarvam website. The selection process involves four stages, with applicants required to demonstrate their work or community-building experience. For AI builders, the programme could offer an opportunity to get closer to Sarvam's latest technology while also connecting with other people working on AI projects.
