Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related technical field is required.
  • A minimum of 7–10 years of experience in automotive program management, account management, customer service, or manufacturing operations within a Tier One supplier environment is required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing automotive programs through end-of-production, including service transitions, is required.
  • Experience with OEM customer portals, service contracts, and automotive aftermarket supply chain dynamics is required.
  • Proficiency with enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent is required.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and pivot tables, and Microsoft Project is required.
  • Familiarity with IATF 16949, PPAP requirements, and automotive core tools including FMEA, Control Plans, and MSA is required.
  • Working knowledge of automotive customer-specific requirements for GM, Ford, Stellantis, or similar original equipment manufacturers is required.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills are required to manage multiple programs simultaneously.
  • The role requires the ability to present to senior leadership and customer representatives.
  • Analytical ability is required for contract review, demand forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • The role requires the ability to influence without direct authority across cross-functional teams.
  • A high degree of initiative and self-direction is required in an environment with competing priorities and tight timelines.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and administer service contracts for programs transitioning from production to the service phase through end of life.
  • Develop customer-facing profitable pricing strategies and obtain approval from the CSP Sales Director before approaching customers.
  • Negotiate and execute service agreements with original equipment manufacturer customers, defining scope, pricing, lead times, and minimum order quantities for service parts.
  • Establish and maintain service program timelines aligned with customer end-of-production and last-order-date milestones.
  • Monitor service contract performance against delivery, quality, and cost commitments.
  • Serve as the primary customer-facing point of contact for end-of-life program inquiries and issue resolution.
  • Evaluate programs for one-time-buy applicability by conducting demand forecasting and analysis to determine optimal buy quantities.
  • Coordinate with customers to secure one-time-buy commitments, purchase orders, and financial arrangements before tooling or line decommissioning.
  • Work with Supply Chain and Procurement to execute one-time-buy material purchases and ensure adequate safety stock for service-life projections.
  • Manage finished-goods and component inventory resulting from one-time buys, partnering with warehouse operations on storage and fulfillment strategy.
  • Track one-time-buy inventory consumption and communicate depletion projections to customers before stock-out risk.
  • Lead the disposition process for production and service tooling at program end of life, including molds, fixtures, checking gauges, and assembly tooling.
  • Coordinate tooling reviews with Engineering and Operations to determine tool condition, ownership, and disposition path.
  • Facilitate tooling transfer agreements with customers or third-party service suppliers when tooling must be relocated.
  • Manage tooling storage, maintenance, and decommissioning decisions in alignment with customer contracts and company asset policies.
  • Maintain accurate tooling registers and disposition records throughout the end-of-life process.
  • Coordinate with Finance on tooling asset write-offs, customer-owned tooling returns, and cost-recovery opportunities.
  • Lead customer-owned tooling audits.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to assess and document service-process requirements, including capacity needs, cycle times, and labor standards for low-volume service production.
  • Coordinate with Operations on scheduling strategies for intermittent service orders, including periodic production-run planning and line-readiness requirements.
  • Work with Process Engineering to maintain and archive service Bills of Process, control plans, and work instructions for future service-production events.
  • Identify process simplification or outsourcing opportunities that reduce internal burden while maintaining quality requirements.
  • Ensure engineering changes affecting service parts are evaluated, communicated, and implemented in the service program.
  • Lead end-of-life program review meetings with Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations.
  • Develop and maintain end-of-life transition plans and schedules, track open actions, and drive closure across functions.
  • Communicate program status updates to senior leadership and customers, escalating risks to service continuity in a timely manner.
  • Maintain complete end-of-life program documentation packages and archive records in compliance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits related to end-of-life programs, tooling, and service-contract compliance.
Desired Qualifications
  • An advanced degree or professional certifications such as PMP, APICS CPIM, or APICS CSCP is a plus.
  • Familiarity with composite manufacturing processes including SMC, RTM, CFRP, and fiberglass is strongly preferred.
  • Background in tooling management, asset disposition, or capital-equipment lifecycle is a significant advantage.
  • Experience with MRP and inventory-planning modules is preferred.
