Requirements
  • Three to five years of experience is required.
  • A master's degree is required.
  • A BA/BS, MA/MS, and/or PhD is required in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a closely related quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
  • A master's degree in a STEM field with a focus on Business Analytics is required.
  • At least five years of experience in business analytics and performing quantitative and qualitative analytics is required, preferably in a hospital or healthcare delivery setting.
  • At least three years of experience working with advanced Tableau features and demonstrated knowledge of data-visualization best practices is required.
  • Experience accessing, manipulating, and interpreting large datasets to inform decision-making is required, including data transformation at scale using tools such as Tableau Prep or Python.
  • Experience querying data using SQL and manipulating and analyzing data with complex SQL queries and other computing languages such as R or Python is required.
  • Previous experience working with healthcare operational or financial data and healthcare electronic medical record systems, especially Epic, Clarity, or Caboodle, is required.
  • The ability to work with business leaders and technical teams to gather business needs and convert them into technical requirements is required.
  • The ability to describe technical problems and solutions effectively to a non-technical audience is required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the creation of innovative analytical solutions that deliver actionable information to business leaders.
  • Use the Tableau visualization platform and other commercial and open-source software products to create and maintain reusable analytical solutions, including reports and dashboards.
  • Partner with business leaders to understand drivers of success and leverage available data sources to design, develop, and deploy analytical solutions with practical business value.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience performing business analytics in a hospital or healthcare delivery setting is preferred.
