  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrable experience building and scaling process-based field operations with measurable performance management and a repeatable playbook.
  • A track record of scaling operations and improving efficiency and customer outcomes.
  • Proven cross-functional operating experience across Sales, Operations, Customer Success, Field, Revenue Operations, and Information Systems, with the ability to establish clear ownership, remove handoff friction, and drive adoption of standard workflows.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, an entrepreneurial mindset, resourcefulness, and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and concisely.
  • The ability and willingness to travel 20% or more to installer partners and field operations.
Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end customer and installer journey by defining entry and exit criteria, required artifacts, and decision rights; publishing and maintaining the responsibility assignment matrix; and running operating reviews and escalation paths.
  • Own and manage dcbel L1 and L2 field operations.
  • Own qualification standards, onboarding readiness, training and certification requirements, and territory activation; ensure installers are installation-ready before receiving leads.
  • Standardize lead referral and assignment rules with Installer Sales, Installer Community and Onboarding, Installation Quality Assurance and Quality Control, and Customer Success; ensure clean handoffs; identify bottlenecks; and reduce cycle time from lead to installation completion.
  • Build and maintain a territory capacity model for installations per month, define utilization targets, and partner with Finance and Operations to manage cost to serve, budgets, and the resourcing needed to scale the network.
  • Define pre-installation, during-installation, and post-installation checks; implement an audit cadence; capture field learnings; and translate them into repeatable standards, training updates, and tooling requirements.
  • Define minimum safety and compliance requirements for installer partners, including licenses, insurance, and applicable certifications; ensure permitting and inspection readiness; and establish partner governance covering service-level expectations, audit rights, corrective actions, and offboarding criteria.
  • Standardize required closeout artifacts, including as-built documentation, photographs, test and commissioning results, permit and inspection evidence, and labeling documentation; drive completeness and accuracy to support warranty, support, and audit needs.
  • Define system-of-record rules across the customer relationship management system, case management, and SHIP portal; drive adoption and data quality; and translate operational needs into clear requirements for Information Systems and product teams.
  • Create key performance indicator and service-level agreement definitions; build dashboards; set expectations with partners; manage underperformance through improvement plans; and recommend expansion or reduction of territory coverage as needed.
  • Partner with Customer Success and Support to resolve escalations, conduct root-cause analysis, and prevent recurrence through process, training, or tooling changes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual French and English.
  • Experience with partner programs, territory models, and channel enablement.
  • Experience as an operating-model builder and performance-driven operator with awareness of customer relationship management and case-management workflows.

About the company

dcbel designs and sells the Ara Home Energy Station, a wall-mounted device that combines a solar inverter, a Level 2 bidirectional EV charger, and a home energy manager. It uses Orchestrate OS, an AI-powered operating system, to optimize when to charge, store, or sell energy by learning household patterns, rates, and weather. The system supports Vehicle-to-Home, solar-to-home power, on-site storage, and can boost EV charging faster than standard chargers. Its goal is to reduce electricity costs, increase energy self-sufficiency, and enable grid services, with expansion across North America and Europe backed by significant funding.

What believers are saying

  • September 18, 2026 Texas launch opens a large, outage-prone market with refundable deposits.
  • MassCEC fully subsidizes dcbel Ara installations through September 2026, driving adoption and data collection.
  • California phase 1 targets 200 homes by December 31, 2026, proving commercial scalability.

What critics are saying

  • Massachusetts applications close September 30, 2026, exposing dependence on expiring public subsidies.

dcbel launches Ara Core home energy station in Texas for up to 85% grid independence

dcbel has launched its Ara Core Home Energy Station in Texas, debuting at the 2026 Southern Living Idea House in Fredericksburg. The system connects and orchestrates solar panels, home batteries, the public grid, and bidirectional electric vehicles to create a private grid offering up to 85% energy independence. Ara Core makes 100 decisions per second to optimise energy consumption, storage, and sales. The system provides blackout protection for up to 10 days using compatible bidirectional EVs and offers 30% more efficiency than traditional unintegrated energy systems. The launch addresses growing energy challenges in Texas, which has the nation's second-highest number of power outages and experienced 40% energy cost increases since 2020. Built in the USA with military-grade encryption and a 12-year warranty, Ara Core allows homeowners to add components without costly retrofits. Texans can reserve systems through dcbel's website with a refundable deposit.

California homeowners can access up to $18,300 in incentives for home energy independence

dcbel announced California homeowners can access up to $18,300 in combined incentives for installing its Ara Home Energy Station. The incentives comprise up to $13,800 from the California Connected Home Rebate and up to $4,500 from Pacific Gas and Electric Company's Vehicle-to-Everything programme. The Ara system integrates solar power, battery storage, and bidirectional EV charging in one unit. It makes over 100 decisions per second to manage energy flow, helping households reduce electricity bills and prepare for outages. dcbel states the system enables homes to remain powered for up to 10 days during outages using an electric vehicle's battery. The company claims households can save up to $1,300 annually by using their EV to power homes during peak-pricing hours. Fewer than 50 spots remain, with rebates issued first-come, first-served.

Massachusetts homeowners get free bidirectional EV chargers through MassCEC V2X pilot

dcbel is participating in the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center's V2X Pilot Programme, which fully subsidises the cost of dcbel Ara Home Energy Stations, including installation, for eligible Massachusetts homeowners. The programme allows participants to use their bidirectional electric vehicles to power their homes during high energy rates and blackouts whilst supporting grid resilience. Massachusetts homeowners who own or lease a Nissan Leaf (2018-2025), 2025 Polestar 3, or 2025 Volvo EX90 without existing solar or storage can apply. Applications close on 30 September 2026. Ara enables smart charging during off-peak hours and can save homeowners up to $1,300 annually. During blackouts, it can leverage the EV's battery to power homes for up to 10 days. The pilot programme aims to gather real-world data on V2X system performance and user behaviour.
