About the company

Eastbound Collective partners with women, veterans, and other underrepresented groups to enter and grow in the cannabis industry by providing education, resources, and opportunities that lower barriers to entry. Its Higher Collective retail concept operates adult-use cannabis stores that prioritize customer service, a welcoming atmosphere, and safe, inclusive experiences. Each Higher Collective location tells a unique story developed with a social equity partner, linking the shop to real community outcomes. The company differentiates itself by centering social equity and collaboration with equity partners, not just selling products. Its goal is to move the cannabis industry toward greater inclusion and opportunity for those historically excluded.

What believers are saying

  • Higher Collective opened Torrington on June 8, 2026, expanding Litchfield County coverage.
  • Brix Remix launched in June 2026, widening distribution through Higher Collective shelves.
  • Connecticut's October 1, 2026 tax shift and concentrate cap removal boost basket sizes.

What critics are saying

  • Connecticut's November 1, 2026 social-equity control rules threaten Eastbound's partnership structure.
  • A single-state footprint leaves Eastbound exposed to Connecticut pricing and licensing shocks.
  • Bigger operators can copy its value pricing and overwhelm local loyalty quickly.

What makes Eastbound Collective unique

  • Eastbound Collective pairs Higher Collective retail with Brix cultivation across Connecticut.
  • Its stores target social-equity partners, not generic adult-use storefronts.
  • Five Connecticut dispensaries give it statewide reach in a fragmented market.
