Melanie Courtright to Leave IA for Sago Strategy Role

Melanie Courtright to leave IA for Sago strategy role. In New Jersey, research tech and solutions firm Sago has announced the appointment of Melanie Courtright as Chief Strategy Officer, effective November 3rd. She is currently Chief Executive of US professional membership body the Insights Association. Formerly known as Schlesinger Group, Sago offers a broad range of managed and self-serve qual and quant solutions, including recruitment and project management for any methodology, online or in-person. It operates focus group facilities in fourteen cities in the USA, three in Germany, and one each in Spain and the UK. Two months ago it sold its Health division, led by President Shannon Childs and CEO Isaac Rogers, to continuing medical education specialist MLGH, aiming to sharpen its focus on its core consumer and B2B research offerings. Courtright (pictured) brings more than 25 years' experience of leadership roles in the MR and data analytics industry, and took up the top job at the IA in January 2020, after eight years at Research Now / Dynata. Here she worked in EVP roles including research science and data strategy. On joining Sago she will continue to serve in an Ex-Officio (non-voting) role on the IA Board, and in the coming months will devote time to supporting the Association and working directly with its new CEO to ensure a seamless transition. Sago says her arrival marks 'a pivotal moment in its strategic evolution.' 'Melanie is a powerhouse in our industry,' says CEO Steve Schlesinger. 'Her track record of success, her ability to connect across the ecosystem, and her strategic mindset make her the ideal leader to help us commercialize our business and accelerate growth. We're thrilled to welcome her to the Sago family.' COO Mike Sullivan adds: 'Having worked with Melanie over the years, I've seen firsthand her ability to elevate teams and drive meaningful change. Her arrival signals a bold step forward for Sago, and I'm excited to collaborate with her as we shape the future of our business.' Web site: www.sago.com.
