  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions activity, including due diligence, integration planning, talent assessment, organization design, retention planning, employee communication, and change management.
  • Proven experience influencing senior executive-level decisions and cross-functional leaders to translate business growth strategies into actionable talent, organization, culture, and workforce plans.
  • Strong consulting, communication, coaching, and influencing skills with the ability to build credibility with senior leaders and navigate complex, matrixed stakeholder environments.
  • Proven ability to take initiative, identify issues, recommend solutions, and build relationships with customers and internal associates.
  • Strong project management skills and workforce planning experience.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Beer Division's senior human resources subject matter expert for New to World Innovation initiatives, partnering with senior business leaders to translate growth strategies into organizational capabilities, leadership requirements, talent needs, and ways of working.
  • Lead the human resources workstream for innovation-related business buildouts, including future-state organization design, critical roles and capabilities, talent acquisition and development needs, leadership readiness, culture implications, and change management requirements.
  • Establish and lead the people strategy and human resources operating approach for mergers and acquisitions activity within the United States Beer Division, supporting pre-signing due diligence and post-signing integration planning.
  • Lead the people aspects of mergers and acquisitions integration, including talent assessment, organization design, leadership alignment, workforce planning, cultural integration, employee communication, retention planning, change management, and human resources program integration.
  • Advise senior leaders on the people implications of growth, transformation, innovation, and acquisition strategies.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify, prioritize, and execute talent strategies aligned with organizational goals, innovation pipelines, commercial priorities, and Beer Division growth objectives.
  • Translate enterprise and divisional human resources strategies into actionable people plans for assigned client groups.
  • Shape organizational design, workforce planning, change management, talent management, succession planning, leadership development, and integration-related people initiatives.
  • Develop and own short- to medium-term people and organizational capability strategies for innovation platforms, acquisitions, and other United States Beer Division growth priorities.
  • Foster effective communication across teams and coach leaders on communication strategies involving organizational change, sensitive employee matters, and business transitions.
  • Provide thought leadership on workforce, organization, talent, and integration practices.
  • Influence senior executives and cross-functional leaders to adopt organizational, talent, and workforce practices supporting growth, integration, and transformation objectives.
  • Lead and support strategic people initiatives and enterprise human resources projects that enhance organizational effectiveness, employee experience, leadership capability, and business performance.
  • Provide strategic oversight for the delivery and evolution of human resources programs and people solutions across Beer Marketing, New to World Innovation, and assigned mergers and acquisitions activity.
  • Partner with Human Resources Centers of Excellence to implement performance management and goal setting, annual compensation planning, talent and succession planning, talent acquisition and internship programs, benefits and wellbeing programs, employee engagement and recognition, and learning and talent development initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies, procedures, and employment practices while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Promote positive employee relations through proactive coaching, conflict resolution, and policy guidance.
  • Lead partnership with the Employee Relations team regarding employee-related investigations and performance matters.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for complex, sensitive employee accommodation and leave-related matters through the interactive process in partnership with Legal and Benefits teams.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead human resources operational excellence initiatives, implementing streamlined and scalable human resources processes across supported business functions.
  • Contribute to departmental and organizational objectives through direct leadership and influence across teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide functional leadership, coaching, and consultation to Human Resources Business Partners, human resources team members, and cross-functional partners without formal reporting authority.
  • Build team capability through coaching, development opportunities, and ongoing performance feedback.
  • Influence priorities and decisions and ensure effective execution of the human resources operating model and alignment with broader human resources objectives and service delivery standards.
  • Collaborate with senior business leaders to understand emerging business needs and translate them into actionable human resources priorities.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, accountability, and open communication across project teams and stakeholder groups.
  • Provide leadership and strategic input into workforce planning, talent acquisition, succession planning, and organizational capability-building efforts.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Human resources certification such as SPHR, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting consumer packaged goods, beverage, marketing, sales, or related commercial organizations.
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide human resources initiatives and change management programs.

Constellation Brands secures $300M delayed draw term loan for corporate flexibility

Constellation Brands has entered into a new term loan credit agreement worth up to $300 million with Manufacturers and Traders Trust Company and other lenders. The delayed draw facility, established on 18 September 2026, will be used for general corporate purposes, including potential debt repayment. The two-year term loans carry interest linked to Term SOFR or a base rate with rating-based margins. Unused commitments will incur a ticking fee beginning 30 days after closing. The agreement includes covenants that mirror the company's existing revolving credit facility. These impose limits on subsidiary indebtedness, liens, mergers, affiliate transactions, and sale-leasebacks, whilst requiring minimum interest coverage and maximum net leverage ratios. The structure is designed to reinforce Constellation Brands' financial flexibility and balance-sheet management.

Constellation Brands shares down 28% from 52-week high despite beating Q1 earnings expectations

Constellation Brands stock has declined 28.2% from its 52-week high of $168.60, significantly underperforming the consumer defensive sector. The Rochester-based beer, wine, and spirits producer saw shares fall 12.3% year-to-date and 17.2% over the past year, whilst the State Street Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR ETF gained 8.2% and 4.3% respectively over the same periods. The company, with a market capitalisation of approximately $20.6 billion, faces challenges despite recent positive earnings. First-quarter results on 30 June showed earnings per share of $3.43 beating expectations of $3.25, with net sales of $2.43 billion exceeding forecasts. However, organic revenue has disappointed over two years, with projected sales growth of just 1.1% over the next 12 months dampening investor sentiment.

Constellation Brands hits 52-week low at $128 despite 3.2% dividend yield and Modelo dominance

Constellation Brands shares have fallen 53% from their peak to around $128, near a 52-week low of $126.45, as weaker consumer spending pressures sales. The stock now trades at roughly 11 times forward earnings. In fiscal 2026, organic sales dropped 10% year over year, driven by weakness in wine. However, recent results show stabilisation, with comparable organic sales up 3% last quarter. Beer represents over 90% of total sales. Despite the decline, Constellation's brands remain strong. Modelo Especial is the top US beer brand by dollar sales, and the company's beer portfolio gained the most market share last quarter. The company generates $1.83 billion in trailing free cash flow and recently raised its dividend to $1.03 per share quarterly, yielding 3.2% — the highest in company history.

Constellation Brands names Alex Alvarez beer supply chain chief

Constellation Brands has appointed Alex Alvarez as senior vice president and chief supply chain officer for its beer division, effective 14 September. He replaces John Kester, who is retiring in November after 12 years with the company. Alvarez brings over 30 years of experience in operations and supply chain management. Most recently, he spent three years as chief supply chain officer at Suntory Global Spirits, overseeing 18 distilleries globally. Before that, he worked at Brown-Forman for 16 years in various leadership roles. In his new role, Alvarez will oversee manufacturing, procurement, planning, logistics and distribution for Constellation's beer brands, including Corona and Modelo.

Diageo struggles while Constellation gains hedge fund favour despite sector headwinds

Jim Cramer has shifted his stance on the alcoholic beverage sector, showing cautious optimism for Constellation Brands whilst remaining bearish on Diageo. He highlighted Constellation's new CEO, Ned Fink, as a potential catalyst for growth, noting Fink's successful track record at Jim Beam. Diageo faces multiple headwinds, including a 34.9% sales decline in China and an 8.4% drop in North American net sales. The stock has fallen 52% over five years. Constellation grew beer sales 2% to $2.28 billion in fiscal Q1, beating earnings expectations. However, beer depletion fell 0.3%, whilst wine and spirit sales dropped 10%. Hedge funds appear to favour Constellation, with 56 funds holding stakes versus 35 for Diageo. However, Diageo trades at a higher forward P/E ratio of 14.41 compared to Constellation's 11.36.
