Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical/Process Engineering, Food Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • One to five years of manufacturing or process engineering experience is required.
  • Experience in consumer packaged goods, food, or beverage manufacturing is required.
  • Strong understanding of fluid flow, heat transfer, shear rates, and mass balance is required.
  • Strong understanding of clean-in-place and sanitation systems, programmable logic controllers and supervisory control and data acquisition, computer-aided design, and manufacturing execution or manufacturing data systems is required.
  • Data analysis skills using Excel, Minitab, Power BI, and historian trending are required.
  • Understanding of statistical process control is required.
  • Understanding of ingredient variability, including plant versus dairy proteins, is required.
  • Experience dealing with viscosity differences across product matrices, ingredient functionality such as stabilizers and emulsifiers, shelf-life considerations, and fermentation cycles is required.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor and optimize unit operations including batching, pasteurization and ultra-high-temperature processing, homogenization, fermentation, filling, and equipment controls and automation.
  • Co-lead new process development and validation with Research and Innovation product development leads and Operations Engineering.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Support line trials, scale-ups, and product commercialization activities.
  • Lead or support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives involving waste, yield, downtime, and process capability.
  • Perform root cause analysis on production issues.
  • Drive overall equipment effectiveness improvement projects.
  • Develop and maintain industrial trial reports and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices, hazard analysis and critical control points, food safety plans, and pasteurization and thermal validation requirements.
  • Partner with Quality, Food Safety, and Regulatory teams to resolve deviations, maintain regulatory compliance, and deliver against consumer key criteria elements.
  • Troubleshoot processing equipment such as tanks, mixers, heat exchangers, and fillers during new process design and scale-up.
  • Support the design, commissioning, and startup of new equipment at pilot and industrial sites.
  • Work with vendors and contractors during pilot plant and industrial-scale capital projects.
  • Manage capital projects being implemented in the pilot plant.
  • Collaborate with Research and Innovation on new product scale-up and experimental design.
  • Collaborate with Pilot Operations on scale-up.
  • Provide occasional technical training to operators and supervisors.
  • Serve as the process equipment subject-matter expert.
  • Travel to support product scale-up and commercialization from pilot to industrial scale.

  • Knowledge of thermal processing, including high-temperature short-time and ultra-high-temperature processing.
  • Exposure to aseptic or extended-shelf-life processing and packaging.
  • Experience with dairy processing, including milk, cream, and yogurt.
  • Experience with plant-based beverages, including almond, oat, coconut, and soy beverages.
  • Experience with fermentation systems.
  • Membrane filtration expertise.

Danone raises $1.7B through triple-tranche bond offering to extend debt maturity

Danone has issued a triple-tranche bond totaling €1.5 billion to support liquidity management and extend its debt maturity profile. The offering comprises three €500 million tranches: 18-month notes with a floating coupon of 3-month Euribor +0.30%, 5-year notes with a 4.0910% fixed coupon, and 9-year notes with a 4.4180% fixed coupon. Settlement is expected on 28 September 2026, with listing on Euronext Paris. The company said the bond issue was widely subscribed by a diversified investor base. Danone is rated BBB+ with stable outlook by Standard & Poor's and Baa1 with stable outlook by Moody's. The food and beverage company generated €27.3 billion in sales in 2025.

Arcor and Danone inject $30M into Mastellone to pay down bank debt

Arcor and Danone have injected $30 million into Mastellone Hermanos to cancel bank debt, less than a month after taking joint control of the Argentine dairy company. The funds come from La Serenísima Unida, the vehicle both groups created to consolidate the business, and will be applied as an irrevocable contribution towards future share subscription. The capital injection arrives at a critical time for Mastellone. In the first half of the year, La Serenísima reported losses of 4.79 billion pesos, compared to 1.16 billion pesos in the same period the previous year. The company also showed financial debts of around 259.19 billion pesos. The new joint venture combines Mastellone's milk, cheese, and butter operations with Danone Argentina's yoghurt and dessert business, aiming to achieve greater scale and efficiency in a challenging market environment.

Danone delivers $15.7B H1 sales with +3.5% growth, confirms 2026 guidance

Danone reported Q2 2026 sales up 4.2% on a like-for-like basis, with volume/mix increasing 1.9% and price rising 2.3%. The EMEA region grew 3.6%, Americas 4.3%, and APAC 5.2%, driven by competitive performance in China's infant milk formula and strong aqua waters results. For the first half of 2026, sales reached €13.94 billion, up 3.5% like-for-like. Recurring operating margin improved 12 basis points to 13.3%, supported by productivity gains despite inflation. Recurring earnings per share rose 0.9% to €1.92, whilst free cash flow totalled €0.9 billion. The company confirmed its 2026 guidance, expecting like-for-like sales growth between 3% and 5%, with recurring operating income growing faster than sales. Danone recently signed agreements to acquire Huel and Made Group in APAC.

Danone shareholders approve $2.54 dividend, up 4.7% on 2025 results

Danone's shareholders approved all resolutions at the company's 2026 annual meeting, with 73.08% of total outstanding share capital present or represented. Shareholders backed the 2025 financial statements and a dividend of €2.25 per share in cash, up 4.7% year-on-year. The ex-dividend date is 4 May 2026, with payment on 6 May 2026. The meeting also approved the renewal of terms for Gilles Schnepp as chairman of the board, Valérie Chapoulaud-Floquet as lead independent director, and Sanjiv Mehta. Danone presented its sustainability roadmap, the Danone Impact Journey, and outlined ambitions towards 2030, including its climate strategy. The board continued its global employee share subscription programme, allowing eligible employees in 48 countries to subscribe to new shares at a 30% discount.
