Requirements
  • A minimum of 10 years of aerospace manufacturing and/or inspection experience is required.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in aerospace engineering process review is required.
  • Ability to read customer-provided drawings is required.
  • Proficiency in using a material requirements planning system is required.
  • Knowledge of various manufacturing processes is required.
  • Ability to read portable measuring equipment is required.
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including occasional lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering support to quality control, operations, and suppliers through rework instructions.
  • Analyze and verify rework opportunities for material review board items.
  • Analyze and answer suppliers’ engineering-related questions.
  • Resolve and troubleshoot issues with shop and quality control personnel upon request.
  • Plan the proper sequence of manufacturing processes.
  • Create and release rework routers for reworkable material review board items.
  • Identify planned operation support requirements.
  • Work with quality control material review board personnel on material review board items.
  • Evaluate material review board product variation conditions for potential submission.
  • Work with customer material review board engineering on submitted material review board products when submission is deemed worthwhile.
  • Maintain records of customer engineering rework dispositions.
  • Produce accurate and detailed work instructions to achieve an efficient rework process flow.
  • Participate in process improvement by documenting process changes in planning.
  • Propose feasible solutions for future overall process improvements.
