HCLTech launches Nvidia-powered AI testing platform for software-defined vehicles

Indian tech firm HCLTech has launched an automotive software testing platform built on Nvidia simulation and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. It targets carmakers and Tier 1 suppliers. The platform, HCLTech Verification and Validation (V&V) for Auto, aims to cut delays in software-defined vehicle development caused by disconnected tools, manual testing, paper-based compliance checks, and changing safety rules. It tests code against virtual edge cases and dangerous driving conditions, reducing the time and cost of physical road and track tests. Automated software agents, built on the Nvidia Agent Toolkit and Nemotron models, handle tasks from test creation to root-cause diagnosis, and produce an auditable trail linking technical criteria to regulatory documents. HCLTech's Pankaj Tagra said the platform helps firms move "from periodic, labour-intensive testing to continuous, intelligent validation.

HCLTech launches nvidia-powered validation offering for software-defined vehicles.

HCLTech launches nvidia-powered validation offering for software-defined vehicles. The offering uses AI agents and virtual simulations to test automotive software, including rare and safety-critical scenarios, before release. Published 2026-10-22T16:33:57.963+05:30Updated 2026-10-22T16:33:57.963+05:30 Key takeaways. * HCLTech has introduced an AI-driven validation offering for automotive software, leveraging NVIDIA's advanced simulation technologies. * The solution addresses challenges like fragmented toolchains and labour-intensive compliance processes in the validation of complex vehicle software. * It employs virtual simulations to test rare and safety-critical scenarios, potentially reducing the need for extensive physical testing. * The system integrates various AI agents to streamline the validation process, linking requirements with test results and compliance records. * The automotive software landscape is evolving rapidly, necessitating more efficient validation methods to keep pace with frequent updates. HCLTech has launched an AI-powered verification and validation (V&V) offering for automotive software, built on NVIDIA's simulation technologies and AI models. The offering targets vehicle manufacturers and tier-1 suppliers developing software-defined vehicles. The offering links requirements, test creation and execution, failure analysis, and compliance reporting across the validation process. The company identified fragmented toolchains, manual testing workflows and labour-intensive compliance processes as challenges in validating increasingly complex vehicle software, particularly as automakers roll out over-the-air updates. According to HCLTech, the system uses NVIDIA Omniverse, Cosmos, Alpamayo, Omniverse NuRec and Isaac Sim to generate and test scenarios in virtual environments, including rare and safety-critical conditions. The company said this could reduce reliance on physical testing and expand scenario coverage. The offering also uses NVIDIA's Agent Toolkit to coordinate multiple AI agents, with reasoning powered by NVIDIA Nemotron open models. HCLTech said the agents are designed to support different stages of validation while maintaining links between requirements, test results and compliance records. The announcement did not disclose customer deployments or quantified reductions in testing time and costs. "Automotive software is evolving faster than traditional validation processes were designed to handle," said Pankaj Tagra, Chief Growth Officer and Global Head, Mobility at HCLTech. He pointed to frequent software updates, complex vehicle systems and changing configurations as factors that make validation difficult to scale. NVIDIA's Sebastian Scheurle, EMEA Industry Lead Automotive Enterprise, said simulation could help automakers test safety-critical scenarios earlier in development. "Validation now sets the pace for software-defined vehicles," Scheurle said. On October 12, HCLTech announced a global partnership with Anthropic to integrate Claude and Claude Code into its engineering workflows and selected enterprise software products.

HCLTech launches NVIDIA-powered AI solution for virtual vehicle testing. Published: Oct 21 2026, 05:30 PM IST * FB * TW * Linkdin * Whatsapp * GNFollow Us HCLTech has launched an NVIDIA-powered AI solution for automakers to automate software testing using virtual simulations. The tool aims to reduce physical testing, improve safety checks, and accelerate software releases for modern vehicles. IT services company HCLTech on Wednesday announced the launch of an NVIDIA-powered artificial intelligence (AI) solution aimed at reducing automakers' dependence on physical vehicle testing by using virtual simulations to test software, including under rare and safety-critical driving conditions. According to a company release, the AI-powered Verification and Validation (V&V) solution is designed for automotive manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers to automate software testing, improve safety checks and accelerate software releases. The development comes as vehicles increasingly rely on software to control various functions, while frequent software updates and changing regulatory requirements are making traditional testing processes more complex and time-consuming. Automating complex validation processes. "Automotive software is evolving faster than traditional validation processes were designed to handle. Frequent software updates, increasingly complex vehicle systems and the need to demonstrate compliance across changing configurations can make validation slow, fragmented and difficult to scale," said Pankaj Tagra, Chief Growth Officer and Global Head, Mobility at HCLTech. AI and simulation for faster, safer testing. The company said its new solution uses NVIDIA's simulation technologies and AI capabilities to create virtual testing environments, allowing automakers to test vehicle software across a wider range of scenarios, including conditions that may be difficult to recreate through physical testing. The solution also connects software requirements, test creation, execution, analysis and compliance reporting, helping manufacturers identify software failures faster and maintain records needed for regulatory compliance. "Powered by NVIDIA, HCLTech's V&V for Auto is designed to help organizations shift from periodic, labor-intensive testing to continuous, intelligent validation, using simulation and AI to make software release decisions with greater speed and confidence," Tagra added. Leveraging NVIDIA's tech stack. The offering combines HCLTech's automotive engineering capabilities with NVIDIA technologies, including Omniverse, Cosmos, Alpamayo and Nemotron AI models, to support automated testing and validation. The future of vehicle validation. NVIDIA also highlighted the growing importance of simulation as automotive manufacturers develop increasingly software-driven vehicles. "Validation now sets the pace for software-defined vehicles," said Dr Sebastian Scheurle, EMEA Industry Lead Automotive Enterprise at NVIDIA. He added that the solution would help automakers move more testing into simulation, identify safety-critical scenarios earlier and release software with greater confidence. While the solution is intended to reduce reliance on physical testing and improve software development efficiency, HCLTech has not disclosed any customer deployments, quantified cost savings or specific reductions in testing timelines in its announcement.
