Requirements

  • The role requires adherence to company handbook and collective bargaining agreement guidelines.
Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly and courteously to customers in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Maintain ethical, professional, and courteous relationships with contractors and tenants.
  • Work as a member of the data center team.
  • Stay current with building-systems and equipment technology and emergency response regarding fire and life safety.
  • Record equipment data in accordance with federal, state, and local codes and requirements.
  • Conduct utility and equipment tests, including fire pumps, emergency diesel generators, and switchgear.
  • Maintain continuous equipment operations by troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
  • Address and resolve tenant maintenance and engineering problems promptly.
  • Develop thorough knowledge of HVAC and related equipment.
  • Support tenant relationships in partnership with property management and data center teams.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical and HVAC equipment, including pumps, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, air compressors, and air-handling units, as directed by the Chief Engineer or Senior Engineer.
  • Adjust and change base-building HVAC and related equipment to maintain established comfort zones under the direction of the Engineering Manager or Senior Engineer.
  • Start and stop HVAC machinery under the direction of the Engineering Manager or Senior Engineer.
  • Repair, maintain, and replace building components in data center and office spaces, including walls, ceilings, plumbing, electrical systems, and air-conditioning controls.
  • Participate in the chemical program, including biocide use, chemical analysis, and onsite chemical inventory.
  • Maintain plant logs and files, including engine room, chemical-use, and maintenance records.
  • Order, stock, and inventory parts and supplies as directed by the Engineering Manager or Senior Engineer.
Desired Qualifications
  • Critical facility engineering experience is strongly preferred.
  • Commercial building operations and maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Industry-related certifications are strongly preferred.
  • A stationary engineer license and/or refrigerant certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Tridium Niagara is strongly desired.
  • Formal training in energy conservation is preferred.

Netrality deploys Bridged Broadband's Midwest network hub with 800G optical architecture across 2,500 route miles

Netrality Data Centers has deployed Bridged Broadband's core Midwest network hub at its 1102 Grand interconnection facility in Kansas City. The deployment establishes a high-capacity regional aggregation point for Bridged Broadband's newly launched network, connecting rural Missouri markets to major Midwest interconnection, cloud and carrier ecosystems. Bridged Broadband launches with 47 network points of presence and approximately 2,500 route miles of fibre across Missouri and the broader Midwest. The 800G optical network uses a consortium-based model to deliver carrier-grade performance and low-latency connectivity to underserved rural markets. The facility provides Bridged Broadband access to carrier interconnection, cloud connectivity and global transit networks, supporting use cases including wireless backhaul, government connectivity, education networks and healthcare infrastructure.
