About the Job

Requirements

  • Comfortably write Java, Python, or C++ and work in an existing codebase by reading, changing, testing, and shipping code.
  • Already use an AI coding harness such as Claude Code or Codex daily as part of the development workflow.
  • Follow unfamiliar code well enough to identify bugs; experience with Python, Node, or other languages is a plus.
  • Diagnose problems in running systems by reading logs, tracing requests across services, forming hypotheses, and validating them.
  • Understand REST APIs, authentication and signing, webhooks and callbacks, idempotency, and common integration failure modes.
  • Write SQL queries to investigate production data.
  • Understand client-server architecture, SaaS platforms, and cloud conventions; AWS experience is a plus.
  • Use Postman, a database client, an OpenAPI tool, and Git.
  • Communicate technical causes clearly in written and spoken English to non-technical colleagues and merchants.
  • Work on-site in Belgrade during standard business hours, roughly 9:00–17:00 Belgrade time.

Responsibilities

  • Take signed merchants through integrations end to end by scoping setups, answering API and configuration questions in writing, unblocking developers, and staying engaged until transactions are flowing.
  • Investigate problems end to end by reading logs, tracing requests across services, reproducing issues in a sandbox, and identifying whether root causes lie in the platform, configuration, or merchant implementation.
  • Diagnose and explain integration failures, including failed callbacks, unexpected response codes, signature and authentication problems, and transaction states that do not match expectations.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for Account Managers and turn recurring questions into documentation, examples, and internal runbooks.
  • Review merchants’ integrations, identify problems, and provide corrected requests or code snippets to make them work.
  • Fix bugs in company services when the root cause is internal, working with the owning engineering team through release.
  • Build small features and customizations for specific merchant setups, including development, testing, and rollout.
  • Write and maintain sample clients, diagnostic scripts, and internal utilities to accelerate integration work.
  • Occasionally support the commercial team during deals by answering technical or security questionnaires, confirming supported use cases, and reviewing proposed integration approaches.
  • Help define implementation-team tooling, reusable answers, escalation paths, and documentation.
  • Support merchants across Europe and Africa; the role has no on-call requirement.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in payments, fintech, or another regulated domain.
  • Background in technical support, integration engineering, or professional services at a product company.
  • Experience improving support through tooling, templates, or self-service documentation.
  • Experience with Python, Node, or other programming languages beyond the listed core coding languages.
  • Experience with AWS.
