Sherwin-Williams has secured a $750 million senior unsecured term loan, according to a filing with the SEC. The agreement, dated 24 September 2026, is administered by Citibank and matures on 23 September 2027. The paint and coatings manufacturer will use the proceeds to repay existing debt and fund general corporate purposes, including working capital requirements. The loan replaces an existing facility of the same amount. The one-year term loan represents a routine refinancing transaction rather than new capital for expansion. The company's next key date is the loan's maturity in September 2027, when it will need to either repay or refinance the facility.

Travis Kelce's new Ohio house has a history worthy of a Taylor Swift song. The century-old mega-mansion boasts plenty of lore and a whole host of dazzling design details 22 September 2026 Does Taylor Swift ever get writer's block? Phāea Cretan Malia may never know, but should she need inspiration, Phāea Cretan Malia has a suggestion for where she should turn: Travis Kelce's new Cleveland-area Gilded Age mansion. Just like Swift's own Rhode Island house - which was the basis for her song The Last Great American Dynasty - her husband's new 21,000-square-foot Tudor-style dwelling is chock full of stories ripe for the telling. The NFL star picked up the residence for $5.35 million this spring, shortly after news broke that he and Swift were seeking a "forever home" in the Cleveland area. Known as Moyenage, the house is "a real testament to a time that doesn't exist anymore," says The Agency Cleveland's David Ayers, who was one of the property's listing agents. Below, Phāea Cretan Malia is unpacking all the rumours about the century-old mansion, from its illustrious list of previous owners to speculations about its history as a Prohibition-era speakeasy. Don't be surprised if you hear these details pop up in a hit song. Two well-known architects worked together on the home. Prominent industrialist Jay Morse commissioned Chicago architect Jarvis Hunt to bring the estate to life in 1902. If his last name sounds familiar, it's because he is the nephew of Richard Morris Hunt, the man responsible for the Biltmore estate. Jarvis was not licensed in Cleveland, so he enlisted Charles Schweinfurth as his partner on the project. Schweinfurth was "one of the most influential architects of Cleveland," says architectural historian Angelina Bair, who researched the house for three years and serves on the board of Western Reserve Architectural Historians. Moyenage has an older sister (and you can live there!). While Moyenage is obviously off the market, its 10,000-square-foot sibling, a Jacobean mansion called the Seven Gable House in Wheaton, Illinois, is up for grabs for $1.75 million. Jarvis Hunt built Seven Gable House for Morse's daughter; he loved the suburban Illinois estate so much that he wanted Moyenage to draw inspiration from it. Both estates divert from the architect's norm, according to Bob Goldborough, a Jarvis Hunt scholar. Hunt generally designed stucco houses, but Moyenage and Seven Gable House are both brick. Get the latest houses and gardens in your inbox. A number of influential businesspeople have called Moyenage home. Just one year after the house was finished, Morse passed away from health complications, leaving the estate to his wife, Seville Morse. The widow was also appointed as a partner at her late husband's iron mining and shipping firm Pickands Mather & Co. "She was a very skilled businessperson," says Thomas Matowitz, architectural historian and board director of Cleveland Architecture Foundation. Seville helmed the company for more than 20 years. She was also a philanthropist. After her death in 1927, she left Cleveland charities $410,000 - almost $8 million in today's dollars. Moyenage's next owner was another industrialist, George Martin, who was eventually appointed president at Sherwin-Williams. When Martin was on the board of the Cleveland Indians (now the Guardians), he was responsible for signing Lou Boudreau, a Hall of Fame shortstop. This manse is subject to the rumour mill. While locals and news reports alike say that the home's third-floor ballroom served as a speakeasy during Prohibition, Matowitz casts doubt upon this theory. Prohibition was in place between 1920 to 1933, which aligns with Seville Morse's and George Martin's residencies - unlikely candidates for bootlegging, per the historian. "I doubt [Seville] was running a liquor establishment, I find that very far-fetched," he says.
Three brands tackling the demands of exterior joinery. Sherwin-Williams, ICA and Sayerlack at WinDoGlass Innovation. 18 September 2026 How can wood be protected from sunlight, moisture and changing temperatures while preserving its natural appearance? How can the coating process be shortened while reducing the need for future maintenance and refurbishment? Three brands - Sherwin-Williams, ICA and Sayerlack - will present their answers at WinDoGlass Innovation. Their solutions will be on show at Stand 9-B09 at Targi Kielce on 25 and 26 September. ICA and Sayerlack are part of the Sherwin-Williams Group, a global manufacturer of industrial coatings. Bringing the three brands together offers a complete view of wood protection - from surface preparation and the choice of application technology to the durable, attractive finish of a completed window, door or façade element. Sherwin-Williams Exterior solutions have been developed for manufacturers facing increasingly demanding requirements for coating durability and product aesthetics, while also looking to improve production efficiency and reduce the environmental impact of manufacturing. Protecting Wood Without Hiding Its Character Throughout the year, exterior wooden windows and doors are exposed to UV radiation, rain, moisture and significant temperature fluctuations. A coating therefore needs to provide effective protection while enhancing the wood's natural grain and colour. At the Sherwin-Williams stand, visitors will be able to discover, among other solutions, the transparent LAQVIN TOP EM4642 coating. The system creates an almost raw-wood appearance while providing protection against UV radiation and weathering. Its UV absorbers and stabilisers help limit surface degradation and reduce the frequency of future maintenance. The effectiveness of the solution has been confirmed through testing in accordance with EN 927 standards and accelerated ageing tests. More information on Sherwin-Williams Industrial Wood Coatings. A similar approach is taken by Sayerlack AZ82XX, a coating designed for exterior wooden windows and doors. It combines a natural, semi-transparent finish with high resistance to UV radiation and weathering. Sayerlack is also developing Hydroplus water-based systems, whose durability and resistance are confirmed by international certifications, including the CATAS QUALITY AWARD and CATAS-WKI PREMIUM. Discover Sayerlack systems for exterior wooden windows and doors. Coatings with Plant-Based Ingredients At the trade show, ICA will present ARBOREA PROTECH BIO LA631IG20BIO - a two-component, transparent water-based topcoat designed for windows and doors. The product combines the protective properties of PROTECH technology with solutions from the BIO range. It contains partially plant-based resins while offering high hardness as well as chemical and mechanical resistance. It is particularly recommended for entrance doors - intensively used surfaces exposed to contact with fats, oils and other substances. ICA's water-based coatings for exterior applications have been developed to provide durable protection for frames, shutters and other wooden elements. Their benefits include short processing times, coating flexibility, resistance to temperature changes and weathering, as well as reduced solvent emissions. More information on ICA coatings for exterior wood. Faster Production and Greater Scope for Personalisation Wood protection is not the only focus of the presentation. Joinery manufacturers are increasingly looking for technologies that can shorten application times, reduce the number of production steps and improve the efficiency of coating lines. One response to these needs is Sherwin-Williams LAQVIN FAST DRY COMBI BASE EG1544 - a water-based topcoat base designed, among other applications, for pine and spruce wooden façades and fibre-cement boards. Its single-coat application and very fast drying simplify the production process, while its tintability makes it possible to deliver projects in a wide range of colours. Another feature of the product is its A2 reaction-to-fire classification. At Stand 9-B09, visitors will also be able to discuss the latest colour trends, product personalisation, special effects, systems supporting the circular economy, and solutions for wood and selected PVC applications. See the exhibitor presentation on the WinDoGlass Innovation website. A Solution Tailored to Your Production A broad range of compatible products makes it possible to select a system suited to the type of wood, the desired visual effect, the conditions of use and the production technology used at a particular facility. For manufacturers, this means the opportunity to combine durable protection, consistent finish quality and an efficient coating process. Representatives of Sherwin-Williams, ICA and Sayerlack will be available throughout both days of WinDoGlass Innovation. It is an opportunity to discuss specific production requirements, compare solutions and explore how modern coating systems can influence the appearance, durability and competitiveness of finished products. WinDoGlass Innovation - the International Trade Show of Window, Door and Glass Technologies - takes place at Targi Kielce on 25 and 26 September, from 9 am to 5 pm. Entry is via the West Terminal on Markowskiego Street. Admission is free for industry professionals upon registration with code WDG26 at windoglass.pl.
