About the job

Requirements
  • Have 3–5 years of experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, technical consulting, or a comparable hands-on, customer-embedded engineering role.
  • Have deep experience with agentic AI, including LangChain, LangGraph, MCP servers, multi-agent systems, retrieval-augmented generation, vector stores, and hybrid retrieval.
  • Have experience with large language models and tooling, including OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic, GitHub Copilot, Gemini Code Assist, and prompt engineering.
  • Have deep experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, SQL, and enterprise integrations.
  • Demonstrate technical fluency and collaborate deeply with Product Managers and Engineers as a peer.
  • Have a track record of managing multiple technical deployments simultaneously under delivery pressure.
  • Be comfortable leading technical troubleshooting calls with customers and internal IT teams.
  • Be comfortable building a credible proof-of-value under sales-cycle time pressure and then running that system reliably in production.
  • Use AI and modern tooling to automate work, move faster, document better, and scale impact.
  • Demonstrate the ability to translate ambiguity into executable requirements and communicate insights clearly to engineers and executives.
  • Have strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management, and operate effectively under delivery and revenue pressure.
Responsibilities
  • Build working proofs-of-value directly in or against realistic replicas of prospects' data and systems, using real integrations and output rather than scripted demos.
  • Partner with Account Executives from the first technical touch and run discovery with prospects' finance and IT teams to understand their chart of accounts, systems, and process gaps.
  • Lead technical evaluations, including architecture and security/compliance reviews, integration feasibility, and technical RFP responses with prospects' IT and controllership teams.
  • Build the technical narrative and return-on-investment case alongside Sales and present it directly to CFOs and Controllers as part of the deal cycle.
  • Flag technical or data-readiness risks early so Sales can scope and price deals accurately and pre-sale work does not create post-signature surprises.
  • Architect and deploy customer-specific configurations of AI Agents that automate accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, close books faster, and remove manual work from customer environments.
  • Perform technical troubleshooting by reviewing and editing Python, writing SQL for integrations, and diagnosing configuration issues across customer systems.
  • Serve as the functional and technical escalation point for integration, data-flow, and automation-logic issues, including reviewing and optimizing SQL-based validations and API-driven workflows.
  • Maintain service-level agreements for response and resolution, document issues comprehensively, and escalate issues to Engineering with complete context.
  • Lead transformation engagements with enterprise finance teams by diagnosing operational bottlenecks and identifying where AI Agents can create leverage.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact across implementations, engaging directly with CFOs, Controllers, and accounting leaders.
  • Guide and train customer teams on workflow redesign, change management, and value realization to scale AI Agent adoption, and apply proof-of-value discipline to expansion and renewal conversations.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed, up to 70%, for pre-sale technical evaluation, hands-on deployment, training, and adoption workshops.
  • Surface technical feedback, integration requirements, and product gaps to Product and Core Engineering as input to the roadmap.
  • Partner with Product Management on learnings from onsite discovery sessions to design workflows centered on AI Agent deployment and business outcomes.
  • Create implementation guides, expansion frameworks, and reusable assets to make each deployment faster.
  • Educate customers and internal teams on the strategic value of AI-enabled workflow transformation and best practices for building durable AI Agents.
Desired Qualifications
  • Have a background in high-growth SaaS, applied AI, or fintech, ERP, or accounting-adjacent domains.
  • Have domain experience in at least one priority vertical: construction (job costing, work in progress, retainage), nonprofit (fund accounting, grant and donor compliance), manufacturing (inventory, cost accounting, production workflows), wealth management (client billing, compliance/regulatory reporting, investment accounting), health care (revenue cycle, compliance-heavy financial operations), franchise (franchisee governance and performance), or field services (job/work-order costing, scheduling-linked billing).
  • Prior customer-site experience on a multi-month deployment, such as implementation consulting, forward-deployed engineering, or field engineering, is a plus.
  • Non-traditional backgrounds such as military service, management consulting, competitive programming, or a PhD are a plus.

Intuit (INTU) is expanding its artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities with a deal to acquire Sequence, a startup that automates billing, contracts and revenue recognition for businesses. The acquisition, announced Thursday, will add new capabilities to QuickBooks Online Advanced and Intuit Enterprise Suite as the company looks to capture a larger share of the mid-market financial software business. Financial terms were not disclosed. At the time of this writing, INTU stock traded up more than 4%. What Sequence brings to Intuit. Sequence's platform automates the quote-to-revenue process, covering everything from pricing and customer contracts to invoicing, collections and revenue recognition. Its AI agents are designed to take over routine finance tasks. The acquisition comes as usage-based and hybrid pricing models create additional work for finance teams, which must track customer contracts, changing consumption and revenue recognition across multiple systems. "Revenue management has long been the most fragmented workflow in the back office," said Sequence Co-Founder and CEO Riya Grover. The deal would allow Intuit to bring those capabilities into its existing financial software products rather than leaving customers to manage revenue processes across separate applications. Intuit's growing mid-market ambitions. Intuit has been investing in AI-powered financial tools to attract businesses with more complex accounting needs. In August, the company expanded its Intuit Intelligence platform across QuickBooks Online Advanced and Intuit Enterprise Suite, introducing conversational AI tools that help finance teams analyze business data, identify discrepancies and automate accounting workflows. The latest acquisition would extend that automation beyond bookkeeping and reporting into the revenue cycle itself. Intuit targets growth after $12.9B in business revenue. The mid-market push comes against a backdrop of growing business software revenue. Intuit's Global Business Solutions revenue increased 16% year over year to $12.9 billion in fiscal 2026. At its September investor day, the company reaffirmed its fiscal 2027 companywide revenue guidance of $23.28 billion to $23.51 billion, representing 9% to 10% growth. Intuit also expects Global Business Solutions revenue of $13.07 billion to $13.16 billion under its revised reporting structure, which excludes Mailchimp. On Stocktwits, retail investors' sentiment around INTU stock remained in the 'bearish' zone. So far this year, the stock has fallen more than 48%. By comparison, the iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF (IGV), which holds the stock, has risen nearly 5% over the same period. Intuit to acquire ai-native revenue management platform Sequence.

Intuit to acquire ai-native revenue management platform Sequence. Acquisition strengthens Intuit Enterprise Suite and QuickBooks Online Advanced, expanding Intuit's revenue management offerings for mid-market businesses. Intuit Inc. (Nasdaq: INTU) today announced it has signed an agreement to acquire Sequence, a Series A revenue management company that automates the end-to-end quote-to-revenue process for businesses. The acquisition will extend Intuit's financial system of intelligence with new revenue management capabilities and strengthen its mid-market offerings, including Intuit Enterprise Suite and QuickBooks Online Advanced. Sequence replaces spreadsheets and manual billing workflows with an AI-native revenue management platform. With Sequence, Intuit will give mid-market businesses and the accounting firms who advise them a single platform to price, bill, and collect on revenue tied to consumption, usage, seats, and milestones. Sequence will allow Intuit to serve new industries, including B2B software and professional services, giving businesses a modern alternative to legacy ERPs that still require manual work to manage revenue. "As businesses grow, pricing, billing, and collecting on complex usage-based and milestone-based revenue becomes one of the biggest reasons they choose an ERP," said Ashley Still, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Small Business & Mid-Market Group at Intuit. "Sequence will let us deliver mature revenue management to customers, further extending Intuit Enterprise Suite directly into industries that increasingly leverage AI consumption models like B2B software and professional services. It's a meaningful step forward as we deliver a powerful, AI-native ERP for growing, complex businesses." "Revenue management has long been the most fragmented workflow in the back office. As businesses adopt usage-based and hybrid pricing, that complexity is only growing," said Riya Grover, Co-Founder and CEO of Sequence. "We built Sequence to automate the entire process, from contract to revenue recognition, with AI agents automating daily tasks and working securely alongside finance teams. With Intuit's platform and reach, and our shared alignment on serving mid-market businesses and creating AI-driven financial workflows, this is a natural fit for both companies." Sequence handles revenue automation for some of the fastest growing AI companies in the world today. As part of the acquisition, Intuit will welcome the Sequence team, including Grover, who will join Intuit's Mid-Market product organization. With this acquisition, Intuit gains a complete revenue management platform and AI engineering talent to help it deliver a powerful, AI-native ERP for growing, complex businesses. Intuit will continue to support Sequence's customers and make its capabilities available after the acquisition closes. Intuit will develop an integrated offering in the coming months.
