Baku Engineering University and Xsolla Baku sign mou. Baku, October 12, AZERTAC Baku Engineering University (BEU) and Xsolla Baku LLC have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation. At the signing ceremony, BEU Rector Yagub Piriyev emphasized that training highly qualified personnel in information technology is one of the main priorities of modern higher education. He also spoke about the targeted efforts the university has undertaken in this area over the past three years. According to him, the acceleration of digital transformation requires IT specialists to have not only theoretical knowledge but also skills in programming, project development, applying technological solutions and teamwork. In this regard, cooperation between the university and industry representatives is important for strengthening the practical orientation of teaching and improving students' professional training. The rector noted that adapting the teaching process at BEU to modern technological innovations and labor market requirements, as well as expanding opportunities for students to apply their knowledge in real projects, are among the university's priorities. He also highlighted that the dual-degree programmes implemented at the university create broad opportunities for students to gain international educational experience and develop into competitive specialists. Yagub Piriyev expressed confidence that the partnership with Xsolla Baku would make an important contribution to developing the practical skills of students studying IT disciplines, expanding project-oriented teaching opportunities and helping them gain experience in developing innovative solutions. Fuad Karimov, Regional Managing Director of Xsolla Baku LLC, outlined the company's activities and prospects for future cooperation. The parties then signed the memorandum of understanding. Mobile game developers accelerate D2C adoption - Omdia.

Mobile game developers accelerate D2C adoption - Omdia. Xsolla, Appcharge, Coda, FastSpring, and Tebex lead a closely contested market. #pressrelease September 23, 2026 Mobile game developers are accelerating their adoption of direct to consumer (D2C) platforms following a series of favorable regulatory changes that allow them to sell in-game items, virtual currency and other content directly to consumers without an intermediary. New Omdia research finds that this shift is creating new opportunities for specialist D2C platforms, with five vendors leading a closely contested market. By selling directly to players, developers can improve profit margins and build stronger relationships. The Omdia Market Radar: D2C Platforms for Mobile Games - 2026 evaluates leading D2C platforms, including in terms of their merchant of record (MoR) services, payments coverage, customizable storefront options, deep analytics, and engagement tooling. The Market Radar identifies Xsolla, Appcharge, Coda, FastSpring, and Tebex as market leaders, offering strong capabilities across a range of D2C functions. However, the gap between these providers and their challengers remains narrow, with Aghanim and Neon also offering robust services. As platforms rapidly add new tooling, providers will need to continue evolving their D2C offerings. Want more Light Reading stories in your Google search results? Join 62,000+ members. Xsolla launches AI Toolkit, enabling engine-agnostic game commerce setup with AI coding tools.

Xsolla launches AI Toolkit, enabling engine-agnostic game commerce setup with AI coding tools. Game developers can now build A fully functional shop on the first ai-assisted attempt, With validation built in. LOS ANGELES, US - Media OutReach Newswire - 15 September 2026 - On August 4, 2026, Xsolla, a leading global video game commerce company, launched Xsolla AI Toolkit, a collection of agent skills that encode correct Xsolla API integration paths directly into the AI coding tools developers already use, enabling accurate integrations on the first AI-assisted attempt. With Xsolla AI Toolkit, developers can now go from zero to a headless web shop in a single afternoon. The AI Toolkit changes how developers integrate game commerce. Headless web shops let publishers build and host their shop's frontend, giving them full control over the customization surface while relying on Xsolla's payment, catalog, and login technology. As AI coding assistants become central to game development, a common failure point has emerged: these tools generate syntactically correct code without understanding platform-specific integration constraints, often lacking the context needed to produce reliable, production-ready implementations. For commerce systems, the gap routinely results in broken implementations, production failures, and lengthy debugging cycles consuming sprint capacity. Xsolla AI Toolkit removes the translation layer between raw API documentation and correct AI-generated code, embedding validated, production-ready integration logic directly into the tools developers work in every day. Available now as SKILL.md files in a public GitHub repository (xsolla/xsolla-ai-kit) and as plugins in AI tool marketplaces, including Claude Code, Cursor (coming soon), GitHub Copilot, and Codex CLI, the Toolkit covers login, payments, catalog, and merchant setup. The AI Toolkit launches with four skill areas that enable a fully featured web shop, each delivering a complete, validated integration path: * Merchant setup: Creation of a new Xsolla Publisher Account, obtaining API credentials so that your LLM can interact with Xsolla tools * Login: Full login flow setup via Xsolla's Login API, covering the complete path, not just the happy path * Catalog: Product catalog management and display, with correct API usage patterns enforced throughout * Payments: Payment processing, full Merchant of Record capabilities, and web shop configuration, taking developers from setup to a working storefront Each skill area ships with embedded validation logic verifying integration behavior end-to-end, not just with isolated API calls, confirming the systems work under real-world conditions before deployment. The result is a measurable shift in time-to-integration: work which previously took weeks of reading documentation and debugging AI-generated code becomes an hours-long, guided build, with fewer errors and less rework. And because the skills are maintained by the teams building the APIs, they can stay current as Xsolla evolves. Installation is lightweight and developer-driven: teams install the relevant plugin into a supported AI coding environment and begin using the skills alongside existing projects immediately, with no additional setup required. "Developers using AI coding tools to integrate Xsolla have been hitting the same wall: the AI generates code that looks right but fails in production," said Chris Hewish, President of Xsolla. "Xsolla AI Toolkit removes that wall. We've encoded Xsolla's correct integration paths directly into the tools developers already use every day, so the first attempt is the right attempt, with validation built in." Xsolla AI Toolkit is built for studios of every size, from solo developers launching their first web shop to large teams managing multiple complex integrations. It serves developers who use AI coding tools as a core part of their workflow and have an Xsolla merchant setup, login, payments, catalog, and integration on their near-term roadmap. The launch reflects Xsolla's broader mission to reduce friction across the entire game commerce value chain. By meeting developers inside the AI tools they already use, Xsolla applies the same philosophy it brings to every partner: remove barriers, enable independence, and give every studio the tools to build and ship faster. Looking ahead, Xsolla AI Toolkit will pair with the Xsolla CLI to demonstrate a fully AI-assisted path from first prompt to live storefront in a single session, with the CLI handling merchant setup, including project configuration, API keys, and webhooks, while the AI Toolkit guides the integration itself. Dubai and Xsolla to launch new game accelerator in October.

Dubai and Xsolla to launch new game accelerator in October. The Good Game Club podcast is also relocating to Dubai September 2, 2026 | Date | Type | Companies Involved | Size | | Sep 2, 2026 | partnership | Xsolla | Not disclosed | * Dubai will become home to only the second permanent Xsolla Club globally. * The partnership builds on an MoU signed between Dubai and Xsolla last year. * Dubai's gaming sector has grown to 495 operating companies, up 34.5% since 2024. Dubai Films and Games Commission (DFGC) has announced a new accelerator partnership with Xsolla to expand an existing relationship that began with an MoU last year. The new accelerator is set to launch in October 2026 and will give developers access to Xsolla's accelerator expertise. Dubai will also become home to only the second permanent Xsolla Club in the world, providing local, regional and international developers with direct access to the company's team. The partnership follows earlier work between Dubai and Xsolla, including networking events and market reports, and builds on the studio accelerator programme announced by the organisations earlier this year. Growing ecosystem DFGC said the wider Dubai Program for Gaming 2033 is focused on attracting companies, connecting studios and developing local capabilities as the emirate targets a place among the world's top 10 gaming destinations. The number of gaming companies operating in Dubai has risen from more than 368 in 2024 to 495 in 2026, a 34.5% increase. However, this figure represents companies operating in the emirate and should not be interpreted as 495 homegrown Dubai or UAE game studios. Meanwhile, the Good Game Club podcast is also relocating to Dubai, bringing its focus on the positive impact of games into the emirate's growing gaming ecosystem. "There is a tendency among some people to view gaming purely from an entertainment lens, but we count it among society's most powerful creative forays. Innovatively built games can impart knowledge, connect people who would never otherwise meet, and build real careers," said DFGC games commissioner Faisal Kazim. "That belief is the reason Dubai wants to be at Gamescom every year, and it is the standard every studio we back is held to. Good gaming runs through all of it: the belief that games are a force for good, for the people who play them, and the people who make them."
