Responsibilities
  • Lead the Channel and Partner Communications team in India.
  • Lead the team responsible for Apple's presence in channel environments, integrated partner marketing plans, and representation on the India Marcom Leadership Team.
  • Lead partner strategies and communications for Apple products and services using knowledge of the Apple brand, partner brands, commercial priorities, market trends, and challenges.
  • Synthesize annual partner plans at the local geographic level and identify opportunities for the marketing planning review process.
  • Understand and share insights about key business partners across multiple routes to market.
  • Drive planning and creative execution of Apple-led channel communications and experiences, including product launches, refreshes, and campaign extensions, ensuring timely and seamless execution and capturing ongoing learnings and insights.
  • Raise the creative standard with indirect channel partners while maintaining Apple's brand integrity.
  • Drive internal cross-functional alignment with worldwide channel functions and sales, and external alignment with partners.
  • Define annual sales and marketing plans for key partners with sales account managers, including branded merchandising solutions across partner retail estates and integrated communications supporting initiatives.
  • Implement measurement frameworks and analyze and optimize initiative performance.
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders and align differing viewpoints around shared areas of focus.
  • Participate in cross-functional annual planning to define channel opportunities supporting organizational goals.
  • Partner closely with worldwide Channel and Partner Communications leads to maintain alignment of platforms and content across all routes to market.

  • Experience working with third parties to influence, inform, and guide their creative efforts.
  • Knowledge of channel marketing disciplines, including visual merchandising, retail marketing and campaigns, point-of-sale, and customer-engagement programs.

Qualcomm's Apple patent renewal secures $1.28B licensing revenue despite modem shift

Qualcomm has renewed its global patent licensing agreement with Apple, effective from 1 April 2027. Despite Apple developing its own modems and reducing chip purchases from Qualcomm, the iPhone maker will continue paying royalties to use Qualcomm's wireless technology patents. Qualcomm's licensing unit generated $1.28 billion last quarter at a 69% margin. The company's automotive revenue reached $1.59 billion, up 61%, marking its 23rd consecutive quarter of double-digit growth. Management expects non-handset growth to accelerate from 24% in fiscal 2026 to over 60% in fiscal 2027. Qualcomm shares trade at 15.34 times free cash flow, compared to Broadcom's approximate 43 times multiple. The company generated $12.82 billion in free cash flow in fiscal 2025 and returned $12.60 billion to shareholders. However, handset revenue fell 20% to $5.09 billion, with Android revenue expected to decline 20% this year.

Apple CEO Ternus eyes faster product releases and management cuts

Apple CEO John Ternus is exploring a faster, more flexible product strategy, potentially moving away from the company's traditional spring and autumn release schedule, Bloomberg reported. The chief executive, who succeeded Tim Cook earlier this month, is also considering reducing management layers to enable direct interaction between engineers and senior leaders. Changes are already underway in Apple's hardware organisation, with several engineering program manager positions recently eliminated. Around six directors have been affected, and they may seek internal transfers before leaving. Apple has also reduced staffing for Vision Pro, Siri, and Fitness+ roles. A proposal to cut approximately 5,000 AppleCare customer-service jobs was paused during the summer, according to the report. The moves suggest Ternus is reassessing product timing, engineering coordination, and organisational structure early in his leadership.

Meta's AI agent Muse threatens Apple's ecosystem as BofA warns of user intent interception risk

Bank of America has identified a new competitive threat to Apple from Meta Platforms' AI agent, Muse. The analyst warns that AI agents like Muse could intercept iPhone users' intent before Apple's own software, potentially undermining discovery, referral, and transaction economics within Apple's ecosystem. Muse has reached the top of Apple's App Store with at least 2.5 million downloads in its first weeks. It can shop online, fill out forms, and contact vendors, with partnerships including Shopify, Expedia, and PayPal.
