Prior playing and/or coaching experience at the youth, club, high school, or collegiate level.
Strong understanding of basketball fundamentals, strategy, and player development.
Ability to communicate clearly and positively with student-athletes.

CPR and First Aid certification is required, or willingness to obtain it before the season.

The Opportunity
University High School is seeking an energetic and committed Girls Junior Varsity Basketball Assistant Coach for the 2025–26 season. This part-time, seasonal role is ideal for someone who loves teaching the game, mentoring student-athletes, and supporting a positive, team-first culture.
The Assistant Coach will work under the direction of the JV Head Coach to help student-athletes develop basketball skills, game understanding, and character. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, patience, and a growth mindset—both on and off the court.

Compensation
