About the Job

Requirements

  • A completed degree or higher-education qualification (FH, ETH, university, or HF) in Informatics, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading software projects.
  • Practical experience in software development.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with agile and incremental project-management methods.
  • Experience creating proposals for the public sector, especially WTO tenders, is an advantage.
  • Ability to lead smaller teams and drive projects independently.
  • Willingness and ability to pass a personnel security screening; a clean personal background; Swiss citizenship or a C settlement permit.
  • Very good German and good English skills.
  • Willingness to work on site at customer locations in the Bern area.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex, customized software projects from the proposal phase through successful commissioning.
  • Take technical and commercial responsibility for implementing custom software solutions.
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate projects across quality, schedule, scope, and business objectives.
  • Lead and coordinate smaller project teams.
  • Apply agile and incremental project-management methods.
  • Build and maintain long-term, trusting customer relationships.
  • Work closely with customers, development teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to and support the preparation of proposals and tenders.
  • Communicate regularly with customers and make on-site visits in the Bern area.

Desired Qualifications

  • Certifications such as IPMA, PMI, HERMES, Scrum Master, or Scrum Product Owner.
  • Experience preparing public-sector proposals, especially WTO tenders.
