Clear Capital launches AURA Risk Navigator with AI-powered appraisal review

Clear Capital has launched AURA Risk Navigator, an interactive workflow that automates appraisal review processes for lenders. The tool builds on the company's acquisition of Restb.ai earlier this year, integrating AI-powered image recognition to analyse appraisal photos and validate property conditions. The system automatically identifies which appraisals require review and prioritises findings for investigation. AURA Risk Navigator can reduce review time by 50% or more compared to manual processes, which typically take over 30 minutes and cost lenders an estimated $50 per file. The platform supports both UAD 2.6 and UAD 3.6 appraisal formats, helping lenders prepare for the upcoming UAD 3.6 standard that introduces significantly more data for review teams. The system generates proof-of-review reports documenting findings and decisions.

Clear Capital verified by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac for new property data report standard

Clear Capital announced that its Universal Data Collection (UDC) solution has been verified by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to support the Uniform Property Data Report (UPDR) specifications. The company completed the verification process on 17 June 2026, ahead of the 30 June implementation deadline. The UPDR establishes a standardised format for property data delivered through the government-sponsored enterprises' value acceptance programmes. Clear Capital's UDC solution provides property data in the UPDR format and includes a proprietary Report Summary designed to help underwriters identify key information, risk indicators, and potential data deficiencies. The verification comes as the mortgage industry undergoes significant modernisation, with the Uniform Appraisal Dataset 3.6 mandate set to take effect in November.
