Requirements
  • Proven experience running bids or pitches end to end, from opportunity assessment through submission to post-bid debrief.
  • Strong proposal writing skills, including the ability to produce clear, technically accurate executive summaries, management plans and case studies that answer the brief.
  • Experience leading pitch workstreams and request for information/request for proposal responses, coordinating specialist and international contributors to deadline.
  • Commercial contract literacy, including the ability to review statements of work and work orders, identify red flags around termination, pass-through costs, payment terms and liability, and know when to escalate to senior or legal counsel.
  • A track record of identifying and pitching upsell or new sponsorship opportunities within existing accounts, working with delivery teams to scope the value.
  • A confident client-facing presence and comfort leading pitch rehearsals, debriefs and negotiation conversations.
  • Experience mentoring or reviewing junior colleagues and getting the best out of specialist teams without formal authority.
  • Disciplined use of pipeline and reporting tools to prioritize time and resources across a portfolio of opportunities.
  • The ability to remain organized and calm under pressure, maintaining standards through tight deadlines and late changes without passing stress to the team.
Responsibilities
  • Own the bid lifecycle for assigned opportunities end to end, from initial opportunity assessment through to submission and post-bid debrief.
  • Lead selected pitch workstreams and request for information/request for proposal responses from brief through to submission, engaging specialist teams and international contacts where relevant.
  • Write and shape proposal content, including executive summaries, management plans and case studies, that answers the brief and reflects current market context.
  • Lead pitch rehearsals and debriefs, setting standards for team preparation and improvement between opportunities.
  • Own the credentials and case study library for an assigned sector or client set, ensuring materials remain current.
  • Use the opportunity tracker and Synergist reporting to prioritize time and resources across the pipeline.
  • Collaborate on the negotiation of statements of work and work orders with clients, escalating master services agreement-level or high-risk terms to the Commercial Operations Director or legal counsel.
  • Review contracts for commercial red flags, including termination, pass-through costs, payment terms and liability, and manage redlines with the Commercial Operations Director and legal counsel.
  • Support service upsells for existing clients, working with delivery teams to scope additional value.
  • Develop and pitch new sponsorship opportunities for existing clients, taking them from concept through to client conversation.
  • Mentor junior team members, review their work and support their growth.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the pitch process, templates and commercial documentation standards.

Right Formula acquires Crunch Communications to expand F1 consultancy capabilities

Right Formula, a leading Formula 1 consultancy, has acquired Crunch Communications, a specialist motorsport communications agency, in a strategic move to strengthen its position within the F1 ecosystem. Financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition brings together two independent consultancies that collectively support over 40 international brands and work with every Formula 1 team. Right Formula provides strategic sports sponsorship advisory, creative services and commercial consulting, whilst Crunch specialises in media relations, strategic counsel, social media and crisis management. Both organisations will continue operating independently whilst progressively integrating expertise and systems. Crunch will join the Right Formula Group immediately as a distinct business unit, with all existing client services continuing uninterrupted. The deal forms part of Right Formula's long-term growth strategy to build the most comprehensive independent consultancy in global motorsport.
