Requirements

At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Ability to use hand and power tools, such as nibblers and power saws.
Working knowledge of high-speed production machinery and measurement tools.
Ability to follow first-piece inspection procedures, including the First Off Green Tag Procedure.
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, protractor, and other required inspection tools.
Must be willing and able to work in an environment that may include coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures.

Responsibilities

Operate production equipment, including punch presses, press brakes, folding machines, turret presses, flatbed lasers, tube benders, buffing lines, CNC mills, and saws.
Set up machines, including calibrating and cleaning them before starting a production cycle.
Sand and deburr parts as necessary.
Tend to machines and products to ensure quality and proper operation.
Use and interpret gauging equipment to verify product dimensions.
Complete daily machine check sheets and production records.
Control and adjust machine functions and settings, such as speed.
Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
Make frequent quality checks to ensure quality parts are being produced.
Feed necessary raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines.
Load programs and set up tooling in machines.

Position Summary:

The Machine Operator's primary responsibility is to operate production equipment, including but not limited to punch press, press brake, folding machine, turret press, flatbed laser, tube bender, buffing line, CNC mill and saw.

Qualifications:

1+ years' hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment required.
Ability to use hand and power tools (e.g., nibblers, power saws).
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Effective communication.
Quality-driven with strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Working knowledge of high-speed production machinery and measurement tools.
Ability to follow first-piece inspection procedures (First Off Green Tag Procedure).
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, protractor and other inspection tools that may be required.
