Responsibilities
Prepare and serve meals and snacks to residents in accordance with individual dietary requirements, preferences, and established meal schedules.
Clear, clean, and sanitize dining and food preparation areas, including washing tables, loading and operating the dishwasher, and handwashing pots, pans, and cooking utensils.
Ensure kitchen laundry is washed, dried, folded, and put away daily.
Store leftover foods at the required temperature and in appropriate containers, and date and rotate all leftovers.
Clean the food storage area and keep it neat and tidy.
Follow policies and procedures regarding sanitation, safety, and quality assurance.
Clean and prepare food for cooking or salads.
Cook food according to the required temperature and method.
Prepare desserts and baked items.
Use supplies and equipment safely and efficiently to eliminate or prevent waste.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience interacting with older adults, individuals with serious illnesses, or vulnerable populations.

Overview
