  • A Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with at least 7 years of experience, or a Master of Science degree with at least 6 years of experience.
  • Experience in analog or mixed-signal layout design using deep-submicron complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor and bipolar complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor technologies.
  • Experience delivering high-quality analog layout intellectual properties.
  • Understanding of layout fundamentals and best practices.
  • Proficiency in interpreting Calibre design-rule-checking, electrical-rule-checking, and layout-versus-schematic reports.
  • Experience with Cadence or Mentor Graphics layout tools.
  • Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacturability techniques.
  • Proficiency debugging and fixing layout-versus-schematic and design-rule-checking errors.
  • Familiarity with Cadence Design Environment and the Unix operating system.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality layout for complex analog and mixed-signal intellectual-property blocks, including voltage regulators, bandgaps, current-sense amplifiers, amplifiers, high-voltage switches, and drivers.
  • Contribute to area estimation and optimization, floor planning, power routing, shielding, physical verification including design-rule checking, electrical-rule checking, layout-versus-schematic, and electrostatic discharge checks, as well as electromigration and infrared-drop power analysis.
