About the company

Zooplus SE is an online retailer in Europe that sells pet food and supplies through a direct-to-consumer e-commerce platform. It offers about 15,000 products for various pets, including private-label brands such as Wolf of Wilderness, Smilla, and Purizon. The company uses a third-party logistics model, meaning it does not keep inventory in-house but coordinates the flow of products from suppliers to customers via fulfillment centers and delivery services. Customers place orders on Zooplus’ website and receive items through partner logistics, with a recent addition of a subscription service in Germany and Austria for automatic recurring deliveries. Zooplus operates across 30 European countries, positioning itself as a major player in online pet supplies. Its goal is to be a leading European pet-e-commerce platform by offering a wide catalog, strong supplier relationships, and scalable logistics, while expanding services like subscriptions to improve recurring sales.
