  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
  • At least 1 year of demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Graduation from an NLN-accredited school of nursing.
  • A current New Jersey Registered Nurse license.
  • BLS certification.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Clinical Director in providing leadership, direction, and coordination of patient care services to ensure safe, high-quality, evidence-based care delivery.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operational functioning of the assigned unit, including staffing coordination, workflow oversight, and resource utilization.
  • Support personnel management activities such as interviewing, hiring, orientation, coaching, counseling, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary and ancillary services to promote effective communication, patient satisfaction, and continuity of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance efforts, and implementation of Joint Commission, state, and federal standards.
  • Act as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, and other departments, facilitating problem-solving, conflict resolution, and collaboration.
  • Promote staff education, professional development, and competency validation in collaboration with the Clinical Director and Education Department.
  • Assume responsibility and accountability for the direction, implementation, and evaluation of patient care services within the assigned unit.
  • Exercise independent judgment and provide leadership in the Clinical Director’s absence.
Desired Qualifications
  • Progressive leadership experience in acute or specialty care settings.
  • National specialty certification such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, or an applicable equivalent.
