Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience shipping production backend systems.
  • Strong day-to-day Go skills and experience building and maintaining Go services in production.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes from an application developer perspective, including pods, services, deployments, custom resource definitions, and role-based access control; experience deploying services to Kubernetes clusters and debugging issues in that environment.
  • Experience building and maintaining REST APIs, including request validation, middleware patterns, error handling, and versioning.

  • Integrate with internal platform components, including the CCF/Taikun provisioning API, Knox for secrets, cert-manager for TLS, and Proxinator for credential indirection, as well as external cloud provider APIs including AWS S3/IAM and GCP.
  • Design database schemas and write migrations using golang-migrate and PostgreSQL; own data consistency for services managing cluster state, marketplace metadata, and deployment records.
  • Write unit and integration tests, contribute to system-level test infrastructure, and validate changes against real clusters.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience authoring and maintaining Helm charts for complex multi-service deployments.
  • Familiarity with OIDC, SAML, mutual TLS, or credential-brokering patterns such as SigV4 and token exchange.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP APIs, including IAM, S3, and networking.
  • Comfort with Bazel, Make, or similar build tooling in a monorepo or multi-repo setup.
  • Experience instrumenting services with structured logging such as slog, metrics, or distributed tracing.
