About the job
- Proven experience in a BIM/VDC management role on complex construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong technical proficiency in BIM authoring and management tools, with Revit essential.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing BIM standards, workflows, and quality control processes.
- Experience working directly with clients, contractors, and designers in a client-facing project delivery environment.
- Strong understanding of model-based workflows, BIM data structures, and element metadata, with the ability to translate model data into project controls insight.
- Experience integrating BIM processes with project controls functions such as scheduling, cost management, or progress tracking.
- Ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences, including clients and senior leadership.
- Leadership and mentoring capability, including developing a team's technical skills and maintaining high standards across BIM/VDC practice.
- Lead the development and implementation of BIM/VDC standards, workflows, and processes across projects.
- Manage the integration, preparation, and export of BIM models into the XYZ Project Controls platform to required quality and data standards.
- Develop and implement automation solutions, including Revit scripts and other tools, to improve efficiency, data quality, and consistency across BIM/VDC workflows.
- Establish and maintain model quality control processes.
- Analyse BIM model data and element metadata to support project controls, progress tracking, quality management, and other project requirements.
- Work directly with clients, contractors, designers, and project stakeholders to understand their requirements and establish effective BIM/VDC workflows.
- Provide technical guidance as the subject matter expert on BIM/VDC processes and model data.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously by coordinating priorities, deliverables, and deadlines.
- Lead the BIM/VDC team, including task allocation, performance management, and technical development.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate workflows, and increase the efficiency and scalability of VDC operations.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the BIM/VDC strategy and technology roadmap.
- Experience with scripting or automation using Dynamo, Python, or similar tools.
- Experience with AR, XR, or emerging construction technology platforms.
- Familiarity with Mission Critical, Data Centre, or large-scale commercial construction projects.
