Requirements
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED), and one to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes, transportation, inventory management, and vendor relations.
  • Proactive problem-solving, time management and prioritization, attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to stand, use hands, reach with hands and arms, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk or hear as required by the job.
  • Ability to regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work near moving mechanical parts and in environments with fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, wet or humid conditions, and loud noise.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor the status of orders and deliveries to ensure materials are available when needed to meet production or customer demands.
  • Expedite purchase orders, transportation, and deliveries to resolve supply chain delays.
  • Track and follow up on delayed shipments, backorders, and inventory shortages.
  • Ensure the timely movement of materials through the supply chain to avoid production or fulfillment delays.
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to expedite urgent orders or resolve delivery issues.
  • Provide internal stakeholders with accurate updates about order status, delays, and expected delivery times.
  • Track vendor performance metrics, including on-time delivery, lead time, and quality, and work with suppliers to address issues.
  • Identify supply chain bottlenecks or disruptions and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to resolve delivery discrepancies or delays.
  • Facilitate the return of damaged, incorrect, or defective items.
  • Maintain accurate records of expediting activities, including tracking logs, vendor communications, and resolution details.
  • Prepare reports on material shortages, expedited orders, and delivery performance to support demand forecasting and procurement planning.
  • Update and maintain records in enterprise resource planning or supply chain management systems such as SAP and Oracle.
  • Work with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to align priorities, schedules, and inventory management strategies.
