- The role provides approximately 80% direct patient care and 20% Charge-Preceptor duties, with the balance varying according to patient acuity and volume.
- The role provides care and services to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients within a unit-specific patient population.
- The position sets priorities based on the situation at hand and combines direct patient care, charge, and preceptor responsibilities for a unit during an eight- to twelve-hour shift.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree is preferred.
- Two years of recent experience in the current clinical specialty, such as critical care, surgical services, diabetes education, or radiology, is preferred.
- An additional life-support credential, such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification, or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units, is preferred.
