Requirements
  • Graduate of an NLN-accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current New Jersey Registered Nurse license is required.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification is required.
  • Specific shift requirements apply; the stated shift is 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated timeframe.
  • Evaluate patients, implement and document nursing care.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
  • Perform patient tests and administer medications using the nursing process.
  • Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and teaching patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
  • As a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, provide care to assigned patients using the nursing process, including the therapeutic use of self.
  • Follow established policies and procedures.
  • Communicate openly with internal customers and supervisors.
  • Provide customer service when interfacing with staff, management, and physicians.
  • Apply the organization's core values of quality, service, efficiency, integrity, safety, professionalism, teamwork, and compassion.
