Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Six to eight years of relevant software engineering experience.
  • Ten or more years of overall software development experience in Python and Java or other object-oriented languages.
  • Three or more years of leading software projects with enterprise-level solutions.
  • Two to three years of containerization and orchestration experience using Docker and Kubernetes, with experience involving Bedrock, large language models, and vector databases.
  • Two to three years of hands-on experience with Generative AI use cases, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures, prompt engineering, and evaluation approaches.
  • Experience building and integrating vector databases such as FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate, OpenSearch, and Azure AI Search for semantic search and AI-powered retrieval.
  • Exposure to agentic AI concepts, including multi-step reasoning, tool invocation, workflow orchestration, and AI agents built using modern frameworks.
  • Practical experience building AI applications using LangChain and LangGraph, including complex agent workflows and retrieval-augmented generation pipelines.
  • Two to three years of experience building data-driven application programming interfaces and services using Python.
  • Working knowledge of the Agile software development lifecycle and DevOps practices.
  • Understanding of how AI-powered features affect user workflows, decision-making, and trust.
  • A growing understanding of responsible AI principles, model limitations, and guardrails in regulated environments.
  • Ability to collaborate across engineering, product, data, and business teams.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, operate, and maintain software and AI-enabled products with guidance from senior engineers.
  • Develop production-ready, testable code for assigned components, services, and AI workflows.
  • Assist in building and integrating Generative AI solutions, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines using vector databases.
  • Support the development and enhancement of agentic AI systems that can plan, reason, retrieve information, and invoke tools under defined guardrails.
  • Follow established architectural patterns and best practices while considering scalability, reliability, performance, and cost when implementing AI-enabled solutions.
  • Assist with troubleshooting model and output quality issues and root-cause analysis for traditional software and AI components, and propose fixes under guidance.
  • Make design and implementation decisions with customer and employee experience in mind, and escalate risks and questions appropriately.
  • Incorporate code-review feedback and update implementations to meet engineering, security, and compliance standards.
  • Participate in code reviews as both author and reviewer.
  • Follow compliance, risk, data privacy, and security best practices throughout product and AI solution development.
  • Learn and apply software reliability engineering practices and AI evaluation techniques embedded in team standards.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies in Generative AI, agentic frameworks, and vector search by contributing ideas, prototypes, and proofs of concept.
  • Communicate progress, blockers, and risks early, and collaborate with the team to deliver well-scoped, incremental features.

US bank earnings jump 12% to $90B as Whalen warns of securities lending and mortgage risks

Spire secures $400M delayed draw term loan facility with 364-day maturity

Spire Inc. has secured a $400 million delayed draw senior unsecured term loan facility, the company announced on 1 September 2026. The credit agreement was established with a syndicate of banks led by Mizuho Bank and U.S. Bank National Association as joint lead arrangers and bookrunners. U.S. Bank adds 50+ business banking roles in Florida, Georgia, Texas and Arizona expansion

U.S. Bank is expanding its business banking division into Florida and Georgia for the first time, whilst accelerating growth in Texas and Arizona. The bank has added more than 50 customer-facing positions nationwide since the beginning of 2026, with further hiring expected. The expansion targets businesses with annual sales between $2.5 million and $50 million. Florida and Georgia represent U.S. Bank's first business banking presence in those states, forming part of its strategy to support clients beyond its traditional 26-state branch footprint. The bank has also expanded in Dallas, adding to its existing team there, and hired additional business bankers in Phoenix. The business banking division now includes more than 1,300 bankers providing deposit, lending, payments and treasury management solutions.

Universal Electronics amends credit agreement, extends $60M revolving facility to 2027

Universal Electronics has amended its credit agreement with lenders led by US Bank National Association. The revised deal, dated 21 August 2026, maintains the company's $60 million revolving credit facility and extends maturity to 30 September 2027.
